Johnny's Gourmet Deli — Restaurant in Edison

I came in on a cold, rainy afternoon. Was craving a burger in this area and so happy I found Johnny’s. I decided to eat in and ordered the Deluxe burger from the friendly team member up front (receipt says “Elias”) and also ordered a chicken noodle soup as I was freezing. The soup came out super hot first, ran by another team member from the kitchen. He was also super friendly, pointed out where the condiments, salt/pepper were on the table, and even asked me if I needed anything else for now. The soup was delicious! I usually don’t expect much flavor from diner/deli chicken noodle but this soup had a great chicken flavor, and had just enough saltiness to the flavor. I only added some cracked pepper for my taste. The Deluxe burger followed and I enjoyed that too. The fries that come with the burger are seasoned fries which I enjoy. We found Johnny’s Gourmet Deli while in town for a meeting. The great reviews were spot on. Diverse menu, exceptionally friendly staff, and absolutely delicious food for a great value/price. We ordered a whole Italian sub and the grilled chicken with fresh mozzarella and roasted peppers special. We were floored by the large portions, crispy homemade fries, quality of the meats/cheeses, and freshness of the semolina bread. Absolutely delicious!
