My girls and I are always looking for places to try for our weekly meet ups and have been meaning to try birria tacos since it’s the new “sensation” now. I have tried them in the past myself (so I had room for comparison, they did not) …Anyways, we decided on this place since it was midpoint for all of us. We looked forward to this day so much that even though weather was so POOR that day, we still managed to get there with our toddlers. Anyways, we were not expecting this to be a fast food kind of service, which whatever, that was besides the point. We went and there were maybe 2 other tables occupied there so it wasn’t extremely busy per say but to give the benefit of the doubt, ill say they had a few phone orders. Customer service was HORRIBLEEE, you do not get that “warm, Latin feel” not even a smile back, just pure coldness and attitude. I get it, we took our toddlers and toddlers are loud, messy, and unpredictable. Every time we ordered, girl taking our order seemed very bothered (maybe wanted us out cuz of the kids) but hey we are bringing business here at the end of the day and when we go somewhere we always try to clean up after our kids if this was the issue, but to get attitude is not acceptable. My friends never ever complain and are not the type to demand a lot but when we left they were not happy and mentioned they will never be back again, in a nice way. We placed an order of tacos for all of us but they all came on a plate, I got up and asked nicely to get 3 separate plates/disposable trays whatever they had so we can each get one and NOTHING…. We were all staring at each other waiting to eat them warm but I said, maybe she’s busy let’s wait. Maybe 15 minutes passed I got up and asked again and she finally brought them, but by then the tacos and broth were cold. Corn was horrible, no taste at all, very bland …it didn’t taste typical Mexican, it was more if franchise food kind of taste, even Chillis has better corn. I don’t even care about the taste of the food to be honest or even the wait and service if it was busy but it was the attitude and bothered feel she had on, I kept apologizing for the mess the kids were making and loudness, as mothers we already feel embarrassment when kids not behave so she made it even worse with an attitude replying “its okay, anyways so birria tacos, corn etc. 22.50” so so so SHORT and COLD! I have been in BUSYYYYYY restaurants and still the service was excellent and customer service above and beyond and given that warmth feel regardless of having kids with us or not. In retrospect, we took the kids to a different restaurant and made a bigger mess and we apologized, waiter made us feel SO GOOD , saying “Oh stop, they are babies, we will clean up afterwards, please enjoy your food” and they interacted with the kids. Again, I’m not asking for interaction with the kids but maybe a different approach, especially being a small family Latino business. Once we were done, my friends and I cleaned up as much as possible as we always do, even with napkins we cleaned the floor the best we could. We were still there waiting for one of our husbands to pick up our friend until 8 pm (closing) I noticed same girl cleaning with attitude and ignoring us so I said, lets go wait outside since they are closing I think, she didn’t say a peep even though we had BABIES with us, like “ no worries, stay inside until you’re picked up, idk something!” So we left and as soon as the last one was out the door, they loudly LOCKED the door behind us. LOL. Customer service is everything to me, you could have the worst food in the world (not saying this was) but if you receive us with a warm smile, we will for sure be back or refer people to...
Read moreUltra casual, no vegan option, and a very limited menu. Yet you will find their limited menu to be exceptionally satisfying because everything they make is delicious.
I had their combo birria tacos. I was able to have 2 chicken and 2 beef. The way they cook them is so savory and the dipping sauce that it comes with, will make you smile and your tummy will be doing a happy dance. They claim you can sip their sauce after you finish their tacos and dang it, they were right!
I also enjoyed their Elote "Mexican Street Corn" with hot Cheetos which is basically the best corn on the cob smothered in a hot buttery sauce with a thick coating of flaming hot Cheetos. Am I going to spoil my calories and enjoy this? You betcha! Do yourself a favor and just order these. You will be smacking your lips and licking your fingers as you eat this. For those who wish to eat more neatly, you can order yourself the Esquites (cup) and add hot Cheetos for an additional $1. You can pair down the heat with fresh mango, papaya, or guava juices. Other bottled and canned beverages are also available.
The staff did not wear masks nor gloves but they do wear beautiful smiles. Hand sanitizer can be found near the cashier as you are paying either by charge or...

I had some business in the area as I was passing through and want to try this place again. It was even better than I remember, and since it's next door to that really good pizza restaurant you have two great options right next to each other.
It was for tacos for about $15. Pay cash or you'll get penalized with a 3% fee. The tacos were well prepared and delicious and there was a variety of different hot sauces. The beef taco came with his dip that was really good. I have to say I was expecting good and was still impressed. The food quality was delicious and food was hot. If I'm going to pay a little bit extra for food like this, I expect to get a meal and not a snack, and that's exactly what it was. The tacos are packed with meat and packed with flavor. This is a philosophy that will keep customers in the door in my opinion, unlike places like Chipotle or The godfather of Morristown, who seem to think skipping on portions is okay. One area of improvement would be that the bathroom needs paper towels. Not putting them in the bathroom is gross and makes me not want to wash my hands if I can't dry them properly. Don't start cutting corners now! Stay great
