Sam's Southern Eatery — Restaurant in Edmond

This was the first time I tried this establishment I ordered a crawfish po' boy and a catfish and shrimp plate. For the most part the atmosphere and the staff was fine however I had my food to go and so I really didn't look over my order as I should have. The shrimp and the catfish appear to be fried a little too hard for my taste but my husband liked it. However I have never seen crawfish fried so hard to where you cant even taste it It was like eating little pieces of crust I would just recommend not frying the crawfish so hard or not frying everything in the same grease or old grease because that's what appeared to have been done. I probably will not go back but I would say it's worth trying if you never have but I probably won't order...

Stopped in at Sam’s Southern Eatery for lunch and had a great experience! I started off with the hushpuppies, which were fresh and just the right amount of crispy. For my main dish, I ordered the fish poboy with a side of red beans and rice—the breading and seasoning on the fish were on point, and the red beans and rice were tasty and comforting.Our waiter, Elijah, was especially friendly and attentive, making the meal feel even more welcoming. This is honestly one of the best places to go in OKC! When we walked in, the staff greeted us and sat us at a table and were super friendly! The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated as well. The food was definitely the best part. We ordered jumbo shrimp, fries, shrimp po boy, hush puppies, fish, crab cakes, and red beans and rice. EVERYTHING was cooked and fried to PERFECTION and had AMAZING flavor!
