The Old Icehouse — Restaurant in Edmond

First time visiting and we’re let down on the food. We ordered an appetizer which took over 25 minutes to prepare cornbread. From there we were hesitant on how long our two burgers would be. They took an hour while others received their food prior to us yet sitting down after us. Nonetheless we were starving and started to eat the burgers and asked for our bill to avoid a longer wait. Mine was decent but my wife’s was inedible it was tough and had a bizarre taste to it unlike mine. She didn’t eat more than a bite. Went on July 4th , was not that busy right after the parade, this was a bunch they had, my food was cold, had to wait hour and half for food, owner was in there with his family, we keep saying it was freezing cold in there, probably about 4 tables of people in there Just took forever to get food, charge for ketchup, butter, any condiments you get they charge for. Was not that impressed by this place. I know I never go back, and all my people with me will not be back either, i have told several people about this day. Word of mouth best...

Surprised by all of the 5 star ratings, maybe we hit it on an off night. Wife and I had burgers, which were not seasoned well and both of us had soggy fries. We prefer them more well done, but these were limp and and unflavored. Friend had the cauliflower steak, which sounded delicious until it came out. It was cold, steamed and not grilled according to the lack of any color or caramelization on it. For $18 the cauliflower was a HUGE miss. I wish the business well and like I said hopefully an off night, but better options at that price...
