We were SO excited to visit this coffee shop on 5/22 at 8:40AM. My husband and I are coffee shop addicts. We walked in with our 16 month old son and while I looked at the menu, there were magazines laid out on a coffee table next to the cash register. My son walked over and brought one to me. I took it and went and put it back. My son went back, took one and brought it to me. I planned to let him bring me all 4 magazines then hold on to them, order, and put them back. He was not tearing them, throwing them, making any noise, etc. He was simply bringing each one to me. Granted, the magazines were already old, torn and nasty. The worker and possible manager based on her attitude, walked over to me and took the magazine from my me, took all the magazines off the table, rolled her eyes and said âumm yeah those arenât for you to play with, sorry.â Then walked past me. I said âoh okayâ Picked him up and left. So disappointing. I am not a mom who lets her kid act foolish in places. Had he been messing with anything fragile, tearing any pages, throwing them on the ground, etc. I would have stopped it immediately. What he did was harmless and any mom would agree that allowing your child to hand you magazines that are on a table for people to use while you look at the menu is part of being a mom.
All this to say, itâs not family friendly. Itâs not parent friendly, which is so unfortunate because it looked adorable and probably would have been a go-to...
Read moreThe Drip Coffee House in Edmond is everything a local coffee spot should be. During the 4th of July parade, which passed right in front of their shop, they served over 500 people with speed, accuracy, and genuine kindness. Even in the rush, every staff member stayed composed and welcoming.
After the parade was rained out, I stepped inside for an iced coffee and one of their signature waffles, The Elvis. While I waited, Misti, one of the owners, brought me a second iced coffee on the house. I think it was the Cocoa Butter Iced Latte, and it was amazing. Misti always remembers my name, and that kind of personal touch makes this place feel like home.
The Drip has a quaint, chill atmosphere that invites you to slow down and stay awhile. The prices are refreshingly affordable, especially considering the high quality of both the food and the drinks.
Shawn and Misti have created something truly special here. Their entire team is joyful, intentional, and full of heart. This isn't just a coffee shop. It's a place where community happens.
If you're in Edmond or even just passing through, make time to visit The Drip Coffee House. You wonât regret it. It's truly an...
Read moreI used to loathe coffee but this local coffee shop completely changed my perspective on coffee and now I can't get enough of it! Initially I had gotten a coffee (I believe it had a pump of toasted marshmallow in it) that I ended up not liking, so I came back and was recommended a brown sugar latte by the owner. It was the perfect blend of tasting like actual coffee while still being somewhat sweet. This little coffee shop has been my go-to place ever since, and the brown sugar latte has become my usual order. Safe to say, if you don't like your order from here, go back and give it another shot! They do NOT disappoint!
The ambiance is perfect for college students such as myself that need a spot to study, or just need that quick pick-me-up before work, their coffee beans are from Grounds 4 Compassion (a wonderful ,ethical organization).
My only suggestion is that I hope you will expand your food menu in the future. I'd love to see some savory breakfast options on there, especially vegetarian. Overall, 5 stars for this wonderful, ethical, and local...
