If you haven’t been to The Mule in Edmond yet, do yourself a favor and GO NOW! 🔥🐴 This spot absolutely nails the art of the sandwich, and trust me—it’s more than just grilled cheese.
🍽️ The Breakdown:
I went for the Reuben, and WOW. 🤯 This beauty had everything—perfectly toasted marble rye, juicy corned beef, melty Swiss, tangy sauerkraut, and that house-made Thousand Island dressing that should be bottled and sold. Every bite was a crunchy, savory, flavor-packed dream. 🥪💥
Amy had the Caprese Sandwich with a side of tomato soup, and it was just as incredible. 🍅🧀 The fresh mozzarella, basil, and balsamic glaze on toasted bread made for a chef’s kiss moment. 😘👌 Dunking it into that rich, house-made tomato soup? Pure comfort food magic. ✨
🍹 Drinks & Vibes:
The Mule isn’t just about the food—the atmosphere is laid-back, cool, and effortlessly fun. 🎶 The bar is stacked with craft beers and killer cocktails, so there’s always something to sip on. 🍻🍹 The service? Top-tier. Super friendly, fast, and full of great recommendations.
If you’re craving a next-level sandwich experience, The Mule is THE SPOT. Whether you’re a grilled cheese purist or looking to branch out, you’re gonna leave happy and full. 🤤🔥
⭐️ Final Verdict: 11/10, would 100% eat again.

Read moreOn a short trip to OKC and due to close connecting flights, I had not eaten in 24 hrs, so choosing the right place to eat (overeat) was imperative. A few locals gave recommendations, and The Mule was the only repeat on their list. I was seated within 60 seconds, had a water and a nice amber beer 2 minutes later, and placed an order for the okie poutine fries and the angry cowboy a few minutes later. I'm not sure if poutine is a local thing, OK thing, or southern thing, but if you're coming in hungrier than a tic on a teddy bear, these will do the trick, promise! The Angry Texan was a soul food mix of pulled braised short ribs on a role. It was pretty good. The side I choose was the chef salad, and once again, either they read the look of starving desperation on my face and whipped up something just for me or they have figured out thr cheat code for a salad. While it was not huge it had by weight more chopped bacon, ham, crumbled egg, than lettuce. There might be some hyperbole there, but if this is a local thing, it needs to be OKCs' primary export to the US and world. They need to learn! Overall, if you're looking for quick and friendly service, very good bar food with a large beer selection than you can't...
Read moreOkay so I got the Macaroni Pony and half of it was amazing! That pulled pork was juicy and tender, the Mac and cheese on it was awesome. The other half of the sandwich was a little disappointing because it had mostly fat on it and just a little bit of meat. I ended up pulling off all the fat and was left with just mac and cheese and bread. Okay but someone has to mention these ‘fries’... I’m not sure who’s bright idea it was to put cinnamon on them but I wish they hadn’t of thought that was going to be good. I was trying to eat my sandwich and it was actually nauseating smelling those cinnamon fries. The onion rings had soaked up a lot of oil and were just very oily overall. I only ate one.. and to top it off, I got the kiddos Mac and cheese and once they saw the thick coarse ground pepper sprinkled in there they wouldn’t eat it. I fed it to the baby and she liked it though. I really did like the sandwich a lot, would’ve been better if the whole thing had meat instead of half meat half fat. It would be 100x better if the fries were ‘normal’ fries. That actually may end up deterring us from ordering again. Overall it was alright. Nothing too special, nothing I’ll be jumping up to...
