Two of us were excited to eat at Eggington's since it was highly rated. Nice looking place but looks cheap. The owner is a narcissist due to the fact he doesn't think a bad plate of food goes out of his kitchen. Bad food received, complained to his waitress and was ignored, she asked "how do you like the food?" I answered "I didn't". The waitress turned and walked away. The same with the owner, I complained on his facebook page and he asked me, "Is there something you wanted to discuss?" Yes, lets talk about your incompetent cook staff. No reply other than explaining their items being special and sausage gravy, along with defending his eggs , this without seeing what was served to me.The biscuits looked as if they were whole wheat and flat top grilled to warm. The gravy looked like brown gravy, not sausage gravy as he explained, I had one bite, left that and the eggs on the plate. If you decide to eat at Eggington's I would warn you that the owner isn't always there and there won't be any consideration of a bad plate of food. I felt as if the wait staff was directed to ignore any complaints. I know I won't be back to this place. Have a good day. Mike Brown In response to Eggington's post- I told you I would be up soon, but wouldn't bother you during rush, because I was in the restaurant business, and know what rush is like, but it certainly wouldn't make any difference to you since I called twice and you weren't there. You're a liar, you never said you wanted to make it right! You're disgusting and don't care about your feedback unless it's negative and then you remove it from facebook. Nor did you give me two contact numbers, you're a liar and scum. I hate liars! I provided you with my home phone number! Liar! WORD OF ADVICE, YOUR ADVICE MEANS NOTHING, YOUR ACTIONS MEAN EVERYTHING. YOU'RE IGNORANT, LARN HOW TA SPEL. TAKE CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS! Your lies, in no way make your statement a matter of public record but your own private record. There's no way I could have provided a specific time as my wife has alzheimer's, and with me being the primary care giver, I couldn't possibly have stated the lie you state. There were no contact numbers provided, I called the restaurant. I find it interesting that there are other complaints identical to mine, with nasty food and complaints to the waitresses are ignored. The owners answer to complaints is to ask the customer to come back and order more food and be ignored. It's just counter productive for his lack of concern. This is the reply by the owner, "I wish you would have addressed this issue with management while you were dining." Are you kidding me, one has to develop osmosis to find management to complain about a substandard meal after complaining to the waitress? The owner replies to complaining customers to return and order another breakfast, his way of making a bad...

So I walk in and there's a 5 minute wait. No big deal. They're a breakfast place on a Sunday, so I'm expecting a wait. I get seated at my table and it takes 15 minutes just to get a cup of coffee. My waiter told me in passing she would be with me soon instead of just taking my drink order right then. Another waiter gave me coffee and flagged down my waiter to get my order taken. So kudos for that.
The coffee gets to me table, it's clearly old and stale. If you're going to charge $2.59 for a cup of joe, I kind of dont want it taste like it's been sitting for over an hour. Yeah I get it. I came with one hour left of service, but still. The place was busy enough and coffee is pretty cheap on the food cost.
The waiter takes my order and she isnt totally informed of the menu and forgets to take certain parts of my order based on the dish I get. It's my first time otherwise I'm pretty good about staying on top of stuff like that.
Now the food gets too my table in pretty decent time once I get my order. I got the french toast sandwhich and cheesy hash. The french toast clearly has had some sort of cross contanct of something that's not on my plate, so keep that in mind if you have a dietary restriction. The hash browns were undercooked a bit and tasted a bit off. That being said, I did eat everything on my plate because i was really hungry. The price was pretty good for the portion of food, I would just rather them focus on quality rather than quantity.
Place was clean, bussers were great. They just have to really polish up on service and I'm a little nervous to see how the kitchen would run based on the cross contact on my plate. Honestly would rather drive a minute more just to get to Denny's or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went on Saturday before Motherās Day with a group of 12, many from out of town. We called before we arrived to let them know we were coming and were told itād be about a 30 minute wait. No problem, weāre a big group so itās understandable and expected, especially on a holiday weekend. We arrive and were asked if weād split up our party. The staff seemed to get upset that weād rather wait than to split up our party and proceeded to ask another 3 times. After 45 minutes (still not an issue) we were seated together. It took 15 minutes for someone to come to our table to take our drink orders. From there it took 40 minutes for someone to come back to take our food orders. After that, the food took at least another 45 minutes to come out. Some of our group had to leave early as they had commitments after that were in jeopardy due to the long service times. The food was good and the prices were not bad at all. Our server was very sweet and funny but seemed like she was overwhelmed and frazzled. Iām not sure if any of us got any refills on drinks at any point. All in all, the service times left a lot to be desired, and sadly, the food was not good enough to warrant a second visit. We arrived at 10:30am and it was well after 1pm when we paid and left. I expected a brunch restaurant that was offering Motherās Day specials to understand they would likely be pretty busy during the holiday weekend, however it seemed like there was just no sense of...
