Edit: After leaving review about a bad experience I am impressed with how the staff and management of Ezell's has handled it. The responded to my review here and gave me instructions on a better place to contact them. I gave them my contact information on a Monday and got a call from the area manager within 24 hours. He was in the Edmonds restaurant that day researching the issue and cleaning and retraining the staff on practices and procedures. He offered to refund my entire order or give me a gift card. I opted for the gift card as I do like the food there and will be willing to try it again after some time. The incident happened, but this organization recieves 5 stars for their reaction to a bad situation.
I’m wishing I would have read the newest reviews before ordering food from here today. I order lunch for my shop every pay day and this Ezell’s is on our rotation of places we order from. The last few times the quality seems to have been going downhill. We decided to give it another shot today and most of my crew did not feel well afterwards. Almost everyone had stomach issues and a few of us, myself included, have been going to the bathroom constantly. I am really concerned what actions Ezell’s as a company has taken since the suspected norovirus from another customer three days ago were. I will be checking with all of my employees this weekend to see how they are feeling after todays lunch. I hate to say it, but I do not think we will be ordering lunch...
Read moreI went into ezells on the afternoon of Aug 9 and a bigger built man was working there at the time. I asked the woman working the counter (who was very friendly) if I could get a single piece of chicken with my order (was willing to pay for it too of coarse). The woman said that it was no problem and I paid for my meal. When I’m given my food I’m told “we can’t give you your chicken”, confused I ask why while the bigger fella standing behind her is glaring at my friend and I and she explains she tried her best to give it to me but he wouldn’t let her ring me up for a single piece of chicken. At the time I was tired and didn’t want to make a scene so I ate my Mac n cheese by itself while that same worker stared down my friend and I for absolutely no reason throughout our time there. We left early because we felt so unwelcome and I really hope someone speaks to this employee about how to speak to customers. Not sure if he was a manager by the way he told the other worker to not give me my 1 piece of chicken even though I was told I could have at the front counter. I don’t care at all about the chicken but that is just not how anyone should treat their customers and it honestly ruined my experience. I myself work in food service (Ivars) and if anyone at my location dealt with customers that way it would not...
Read moreAs a long time ezells customer and frequent visitor of this location since it opened, this hurts to write. For years I made trips to ezells every Saturday. Unfortunately it has been about a month since I last came to this location and I discovered there was a new brand of honey mustard. (I was a huge fan of the hidden valley one). I did not like it. No problem, I can use another sauce I thought... so I told the front worker that story essentially minus my frequency of visits of course because I know she wouldn't care. And to my surprise they really charged me to get two BBQ sauces when I didn't like the new brand they chose. The cashier even asked the manager who said to charge me. So I put a 1 dollar charge onto a card because I haven't kept cash since covid started. Which means including their transaction fee, they probably got 30 cents of profit from that sauce. But it was so important to the manager that two sauces did not leave without someone getting charged. Long story short, the manager here is a jerk, take the extra time to go to the lynnwood or Seattle location, I know that's what my family will now be doing...
