Love the authentic Korean food, service and atmosphere there!! How many Korean restaurant out there dare to serve their beef soup without seasoning it? Unless they are extremely confident about their quality of food, just like Traditional Beef Soup Restaurant!!!😍😍😍 You get to decide how much salt you want to put into your soup, trust me, if you don’t put enough salt, you might think the soup is bland and the flavor won’t be there! It’s important to put enough salt to bring the truth taste to another level!! We ordered the steamed homemade dumplings and that’s delicious as well. Not to mention their homemade ban chan (Kimchee)!! The bomb 💣 !!!😋😋😋 fresh and crunchy with a kick of spicy!! I have to buy two small size container ban chan home and yes, even my Korean boyfriend said that’s legit ban chan! I saw someone’s post about this restaurant, that person gave 2 stars only and mentioning about the dishes that she ordered has a lot of msg, I don’t really feel bad for her as obviously she didn’t order what this restaurant is known for! Duh, traditional beef soup!! She also mentioned about only two side dishes, to me, that is a authentic Korean beef soup restaurant and I don’t think they should have ten different side dishes…that just going to mess up your taste bug! I do want to make a disclaimer though, I am just a regular customer and not bias about anyone or anything! I am just a big foodie!
2/24/2024, Come back again for their Seolleong Tang with my boyfriend’s sister and niece. Saturday late lunch after 1:00pm, not crowded at all, as soon as we walk in, got seated right away! We ordered three Seolleong Tang with flank meat, mixed meat and tongue, steamed mundo and rice cake and dumpling soup. It’s my bf’s sister and niece first time trying this restaurant and they loved the food! The soup has great flavor, eat it with their Kim chee and radish ban Chan helps enhance the flavor to a different level. I would love to ask everyone who has not try yet to give it a try! You will find it very satisfying! Especially during rainy stormy day!!🤭 To owner and his family, please keep up the excellent job and I will...
Read moreI came here for an early lunch on a Wednesday around 11AM, and there was one table with customers when we arrived. We got seated and handed menus, and we ordered 2 oxbone soups with all the meats (flank, knee, and tripe) and flour noodles along with a hot stone bibimbap. The food came soon with kimchi, radish, and green onion. The soup was really tasty, great flavors, added some salt and white pepper to get more flavor. The meat needed some dipping sauce so we asked for soy sauce, and the kimchi and radish were fresh and tasty too. I wish there were other side dishes, but I guess maybe beef soup spots don't do that as traditional Korean places do. The hot stone rice was really chewy, although I thought the rice to ingredient ratio wasn't great - not enough ingredients, and flavor was a bit lacking there despite the given red sauce. All in all a tasty meal with average portions, totaling around $50 post-tax for 3 dishes...
Read moreBul Go Gi was good. Hoped there's be more of it for the price, but overall not bad. However, the dumplings were the most tasteless, bland things I've ever eaten. They didn't taste bad, per se, they just didn't taste at all. I'm not sure if I got a bad batch or if they just don't make them that good here. Hard to say on one visit.
The service was the unfortunate part. A friend and I came here and were virtually ignored through the entire visit. No water refills (Had to ask for it in the first place), no stops to be sure everything was good, nothing. Just order, food, check. Then food again, because I had to point out we never got our appetizer.
With the mediocre food and absent service, for a $40 price tag between two people, I don't think I'll be going back. Sadly, I really wanted to...
