The daughters of the owner helped us with the order. Two nicest polite sisters. The Dad is out back making the subs fresh. I told them I came all they way from HK and drove 2.5 hours to eat their sub. When I got the bag back. My Dad said why is so heavy? We discovered they secretly upgraded us to a full sandwhich. I haven't begin the review on quality yet. This gets a 10 don't you think? An owner doing something good, making a surprise for us, and we felt loved and happy. 10 out of 5. Classic good people
And the drum roll... the subs, outstanding! Filling. My Dad said turkey tasted so good. And yes. The turkey is uniquely good. We need to dig deeper how they find such nice turkey. Cheese steak... good with their true star. Their Chilli. My gosh... what a nice rare Chilli. We got to dig deeper who made them? Nicely marinated, pack eeqdy to eat, with nice acidity.
I took a 30 hours door to door fligh plus 2.5 hours drive to eat. U got to try it. Shoutout to JL Jupiter YouTube Philly Jersey small business food expert. Without you I wouldn't have enjoyed such nice family restaurant....

When she got home, Pete's made her a cheese sub made with clumps of cheese and NO burger! When she called back to Pete's about the mistake, they were extremely extremely rude stating that they know their menu, offered to replace it. No longer wanting the cheeseburger sub, she ordered a cheesesteak instead. Feeling intimidated by the staff, she said she would pay for it. When her order was ready, Pete's made just a steak sub with NO cheese! So she walked out. She later called back to Pete's to explain why she left, she was chastise over wasting food!
We have been going to Pete's since they opened. Never have we encountered such a rude staff and manager. They have absolutely NO idea of what customer service is. There are too many other cheesesteak and hoagie establishments around who know that if they make a mistake not to place blame on the customer. The entire staff and management seriously need to get customer service training. Apparently, these people NEED to learn that they should appreciate...
Read moreWe are truckers and did a google search for a good sub sandwich. This place can up as a 4.7. Which is not true. Not very diverse or just not used to seeing or being around other cultures it seemed by the interaction. Personal problems we can’t fix. So back to the food. It was filling the sandwiches are huge and pricey, but the flavor was lacking. Looked at sandwiches and literally meat, cheese, tomato, lettuce and onion. No condiments, not a drizzle of olive oil, Italian seasoning and splash of vinegar, just a plain sandwich, which is disappointing because when you eat out you are hoping to have something unique to what you would do at home. Wish they had a JJ’s close by. Trust that’s saying a lot because I would rather support small businesses and get a experience that is specific to them. Ordered Philly steak with mushrooms and Italian sub. Also, onion rings. My husband said he ate it fast so he wouldn’t throw it up. It was tuff to finish. Onion rings were good to him, but too greasy for me to eat. Taste like old oil....
