Iāve been to many Dutch Bros (Arizona Washington Oregon & California) and I have to say El Cajon has by far the worst customer service. Today I had a pick up order, I arrived to get my order only to have to wait for the customer in front of me to finish chit chatting with the guy at the window. Mind you I was the only other customer, seriously they chatted for 10 mins I tried to interrupt to just ask for my drink as I did see it sitting there on the counter, the guy said I had to wait in line. In line there was no line ! He continued to talk as if I wasnāt even there !! Finally they ended their conversation and he says to me what was your order ? I told him and he had the nerve to say to me well itās been sitting here so long Iām surprised the ice hadnāt melted, as if it was my fault. It being St. Patrickās day I wanted a sticker of course, but when I asked he said let me see if I have any. As I just saw him give the chit chatty customer before me 3 St.Patrick Day stickers. I asked if they had any sham rock stickers he handed me a windmill sticker and said you get what you get. WTH !!!! (Just Rude) I have a friend who works there and I will find out his name and address this matter again. We went the other day around dinner time and that was honestly a mistake.
It was so busy and so crowded. The line was almost into the street and parking on the residential street was all taken up. There were also signs on the street in front of the Dutch Bros that no parking was loud.
They have a security employee on site helping to direct traffic but it was so chaotic as only a few people had actually parked in the spots but they are blocked in my the line of cars.
I let him know we were picking up so he allowed us to park on the street.
We did get a free drink the shark attack since they made an extra of it, which was nice. Although I didnāt like it, I canāt complain since it was free!
I think the design of the parking lot is flawed heavily and Iām not sure why they designed it like that because I think itās common knowledge that Dutch Bros is very popular and especially a grand opening of a new place like that will create a lot of buzz.
If I come here again, I likely will either go through the drive-through even though itās poorly designed or just drop someone off to grab our takeout order and drive around until...

Checked on my order at 10:55 because of this. Was told that I had to place a new order and pay AGAIN if I wanted my order made earlier than the 11:15 ETA I was given. If you want a refund, you have to call the company directly and the cashier said it could take up to 7 days. She decided to call the manager because I obviously wasnāt happy with her offerings. The manager said āthis one timeā she would place my order in the queue early and have it ready by 11:15. After checking on my order another two times, I was told it was being made at 11:18. At 11:30, I walked up to the window again and it still wasnāt ready. I finally received my order at 11:36. This location is HORRIBLY run. The manager clearly doesnāt care. I had two drinks in my order and got to watch multiple groups of 4+ people place their orders well after mine and leave happily before me.
