I've lived in the valley since before Celia's came here. When my family, relatives and friends first started going here, the food was good, but service was non existent. If you want a refill or any other item, forget it! The waiters/waitresses will not only not come back to your table, they seem to purposely avoid looking your way so they don't have to be called over for assistance. They don't greet you when you come in, or thank you for your business when you pay and leave. I went in today with family after a few years of eating at another better choice Mexican Restaurant in the valley (El Zarape in Imperial, Ca.), only to find that refills are no longer free, there's a charge for sharing food on your plate, and there's a charge for to go containers. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I don't know of another restaurant in the valley that does this! We called the waitress over after getting our chips and drinks to tell her we were leaving, and where most businesses would ask why to make improvements, she had a care less attitude and didn't even want to know why. We won't be going back, ever!!! There are too many other quality restaurants here in the valley who value paying customer's business by giving free refills, free to go containers and free sharing, not to mention GREAT customer service, so there is never a need to support a GREEDY business that has the attitude that they could care less!!! Take my advice....avoid this place like the plague!!!!! Go to El...
Read moreIt's been a while that I've eaten at an Authentic Mexican Restaurant. Not to mention it's in my neighborhood, real close to our home. We ran into it one day, just walking by, going to a local market. My boyfriend and I decided to listen to the aroma coming through the area, calling our name. It's something we don't regret. The staff were all so courteous and friendly. The food was so delicious! A taste that reminded me of being young and in my grandmother's kitchen. I recommend the taco plate... Something I always order in any restaurant as a test to check the authenticity. The beef was so tasty, the right amount of salt and garlic. Tacos fried medium, with beans and rice. The Guacamole is also excellent! With homemade fried tortilla chips, it made my dinner complete! My boyfriend's chili colorado plate was his favorite. So thank you Celia's Restaurant for having true Mexican Food and having a wonderful chef, and of course your friendly, hard...
Read moreIf there's an option to leave no stars I would have done that. Honestly do not waste your money I hate to say that their food was disgusting and a waste of money. I thought this place was going to be good especially when my dad was visiting from out of state. I've never visited this restaurant before and heard it was good but this was a few years ago. We paid more than $100 and the food that we got was so disgusting couldn't even call it Mexican food. I would have been better off just going to Taco Bell as the foodthere is better than the food that they served at Celia's. The chile relleno was disgusting and it wasn't even a chile pasilla, the cheese was just as disgusting overall my father and I were very disappointed. I ended up just cooking for my father and family and that's what I should have done in the first place because my Mexican food is way better than...
