After my 4th meal here, breakfast and dinner, I can confidently say everything has been great. The staff are kind and I've not had to circle the whole dining room to find a clean table. The fried zucchini is astounding! It's as long as my forearm and since the pieces are so thick (a zucchini is just cut lengthwise in 4ths lol) it doesn't end up overcooked, and still has perfect texture. I don't know what oil they deep fry in but it doesn't overpower the taste of the vegetable, wow. The part-cornmeal breading has a perfect crunch, and doesn't sweat off. The fries are also cooked perfectly. The shakes taste like real, creamy, ice cream (+whipped cream!), and are thoroughly & evenly blended to a consistent texture. Awesome.
Breakfast was great, with ample servings and eggs that weren't overcooked. The chicken was out of stock when I tried to order the spicy chicken sandwich, but the burgers are very good. I have found that the sauces aren't always evenly spread, twice I had a half dry sandwich until I found the pile of thousand island. That's a bummer. I also found the avocado to be too old for my tastes, and wiped it off my burger after paying extra for it.
I love that ALL the seating in the dining room is padded. The tables are generously spaced, so there's enough room to walk around without having to make contact with other patrons. The bathroom has been stocked and reasonably clean every time I've used it, also the hand soap smells nice (whaaat?!?! A miracle!).
The parking lot is in rough shape (like most of El Centro) and parking can be iffy when they're busy, particularly because they direct the drive-through line through parking spots. I'm not from around here, and not familiar with these restaurant chains. I'm elated I've learned never to mess with Rally's again, what a miserable waste that was when Farmer Boys...

But what they did to me a few days ago was absolutely ridiculous and a complete ripoff! They did me dirty to the bone. I had a coupon for a burger and beverage for $7.00. I MADE SURE to tell them that when I placed my order, the person even repeated it back to me. I also ordered one small drink and one medium drink. When I got to the window to pay I was charged over $16.!!! What?!!! An additional $9 for 1 small and 1 medium drink? So I questioned them about the cost. The person at the window told me that I never mentioned a coupon, that was a lie. Then I was told that they couldn't reverse the charge and re-charge using the coupon. Seriously? Why not? Finally I asked for the manager who just handed me the $7 in cash back for the coupon. Then I was handed 3 LARGE drinks! I asked why and was told that they didn't have any smaller cups. So they charged me for 3 large instead of the small and medium. They should have informed me about this when I ordered or charged me for the sizes I had ordered. Then I asked for a drink carrier. Well guess what? They didn't have those either. So I had to hold 3 large drinks while trying to drive or risk them falling over in the cup holders in the back seat which didn't hold that size. All in all it was a cluster-fudge. (Yes, I actually mean a different term but am trying to be family friendly here with my review). This place needs to get their act together. Times are hard and I don't like to be ripped off at every turn. I also don't care to be treated poorly by an establishment who is taking our hard earned money. Read moreI was a first time customer who ordered through their own app. I went to go pick up the order through the drive thru as I had been feeling sick, tested positive for covid and wasn't even wearing shoes but was told they are unable to hand me my order as it was a mobile order and it is their policy. I then asked for a refund and they said they could not do that either. I then drove off and went through their app to cancel and I was unable to do so. I called the store to speak to a manager and explained the situation to him. I needed my refund as it was almost $60 but he reiterated the same thing and stated that third parties needed to pick up inside. I explained this was not a third party, it had been done through their own mobile app. I also told him no where does it state that on the order or even on the app that it must be picked up inside. I'm a very reasonable person and had it stated that, I would have found an alternative but no where does it state that I had to go inside to pick up the order, not on app, the email or reciept. The manager just kept saying it was policy and offered me to take my food outside if i came back but I had already gone and left back home. By the time i went back the food would have been cold. He said that my food was ready now and I said yes you could have just handed it me through the window to avoid all of this. Horrible service as a first time customer.
