Costco Wholesale — Local services in El Centro

I visited 4 departments while in Costco today. I popped in and out in 20 minutes! My first stop was the return desk, where I returned a sweater I’d bought my daughter for Christmas (I know, kind of late) but the associate was very kind and didn’t question that I’d had it for 3 months). I then went into the warehouse, grabbed a bag of pistachios and strolled over and browsed through the ladies clothing. I then headed to the checkout area to pay for my purchases and used a self checkout register to do so. It was quick and super easy. The young lady monitoring was nice and pleasant and asked if I needed any help, which I did not. On my way out of the store I used the kiosk to order a pepperoni pizza . It was ready before I put my credit card back in my purse! The associate who handled my order was cheerful and made sure I had Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes. He asked if I needed paper plates, which I declined. I headed out the door with my fresh, extra hot pizza and pistachios and was back in my car and heading home in less time than I imagined!! I took my mom during senior hour it was maybe 9:45am. Just 15mins from 10am. Because I'm the one who has the membership card they wouldn't let her in even though I would have been the one going in after to pay. So they made my mom wait...why? I was going in in 15mins. I wasn't even demanding to go in myself earlier once they explained the change of rules.

They have a great return policy, hence the 3 stars, but stuff like this is ridiculous. Hopefully they address this in a staff mtg. If it goes better next time, then I'll revise my review and give 5 stars.

Oh and we were parked close to the entrance so I saw when just like 5mins later they let in a group of young women. It was still before 10am. I was honestly very upset because of the double standard. And then they let anyone and everyone in 5mins before 10am. I used my time waiting to post an initial review which I have since revised to give credit where credit is due because honestly they have the best people in returns. If this matter is addressed and things go better next time, as I said they will honestly deserve a 5...

Not worth a 1hr drive to this Costco. If you have a service dog they deny you entrance. The elderly woman in the front was super rude about it just nudging her finger and mumbling all you can hear is no no and pointed at my service animal. I kindly asked to bring the manager and he was super rude he came to us up front with an attitude and ready to argue when we were extremely calm with no attitude. We just turned around and left so if you come with a service animal bring your proof of it because if not they will deny entrance. So they are not getting my money. I’ve been to several Costco’s in my home town in New Jersey and not once ever ever was denied entrance. Or asked to show any type of proof. People need to be educated on how service animals function and what they are for and not just kick someone out. The manager in this Costco needs to get educated or not even...
