Alberto's Mexican Food — Restaurant in El Monte

Good Old Fashioned Mexican food. They combine the "Street Tacos appeal with a Fast Food restaurant approach"; and it's worth every penny! I enjoyed simply 2 Carne Asada Tacos with Pico De Gallo and Guacamole. The meat was tender, a good portion and hot (temperature). It came with Red and Green Hot sauce, and of course on a Corn Tortilla. Cute small restaurant with a Drive Thru and indoor/outdoor seating available. I would give it 4 1/2 Stars, almost 5 Stars except that the beef could have been cooked a bit longer, and maybe on top of 2 tortillas instead of one. It was a li'l soggy and tore apart as I attempted to take bites. Maybe due to the Pico De Gallo and Guacamole, either way a "Drier" Taco is preferred. Extensive Menu available and I even ordered an Old School Strawberry Fanta on Tap! Yummy! I will definitely stop by again looking, hoping to offer 5 Stars! We'll see next time,...

The food is pretty good.. Not the best but then again it's a small taco joint.. But here's the thing... This is the beef (pun inteded) that I have with this place.. The girl that works the window.. With the braid.. Don't mean to be rude but the "manly" looking girl is kinda rude! I ordered a torta earlier in the day for my wife and asked if it had cheese and she said no.. Later on that afternoon my oldest son wanted a carne asada torta and I asked if it had cheese and she replied with "the one you had earlier didn't have cheese in it did it"? I was like "b*tch! It wasn't even for me! Reason I ask is, look, I know they don't have cheese but in the past I've ordered the same thing twice and when I got home guess what?! You guessed it"! Anyways, she just has this thing about her.. Maybe cause she doesn't know how to smile, or she takes your money by yanking it out of my hand......

Had a horrible experience here with the service that was provided. Not only did i have to return to this location because i was given the wrong food but they were yelling at me because i wanted my correct order. After that I had a large order and they gave me one hot sauce so i kindly asked for more and the girl there (because she isnt a woman thats forsure) gave me 1 more sauce and i asked for more because i had a large order so obviously i would need more, so she tells me its going to be extra. At this point after having come back to get my order fixed and getting horrible service I explained to her that last time i was there they gave me a good amount of hot sauce and her exact reply to me was "how many did they give you so I can charge it to your card" after here this i stormed out before things got more heated and I will not be...
