Garduno's Sports Bar and Grill — Restaurant in El Monte

I work at Mountain View foot and ankle care clinic and on Monday 10/03/2022, one of our patients decided to bring us food from a place he kept recommending to us. We were excited to try this place since he always kept recommending us their burritos. Well first couple of bites I took were okay. Then I take another bite.. I am still SO DISGUSTED AND NAUSEOUS from remembering what came out of my MOUTH. I immediately threw up and had an upset stomach for the rest of the day. All of us immediately stopped eating and my coworker called and spoke to a worker named Olga she asked us to bring her the 4 burritos, we did. Mind you we had just started eating and had barely taken a couple of bites, the doctor still hadn’t touched his. So one untouched burrito and 3 with little to no bites eaten were all returned. We wanted our patient to get his money back since they were literally going to go in the trash. Well now they are calling us liars and telling us he will not get a refund! I work at Mountain view foot and ankle care in south el Monte California good patient of us brought us lunch this past Monday 10/03/2022 from this place, he brag about it so much that we were so excited to try this famous wet burrito, this wet burrito was a carne asada burrito en salsa roja, however we had the most unpleasant surprise, when one of our co-workers found one of the most disgusting things you can find in your food a waterbug's leg, imagine our shock and disgust, we contact the patient immediately and told him what happen, he was surprise as well, we told the patient to request his money back, so we called the establishment and told them what happen, my coworker spoke with Olga and they said it couldn't be possible, that they have everything clean and blah blah and request to take back the food, well we did and surprise they not only did not gave the patient his money back, they said we are lying, why we were lying about this type of stuff, we know how much people work hard for their business to grow, we are a serious office and serious people, here are some pictures of proof also we will be contacting the health department cause this is just wrong, we also have videos. What I personally love about this place is the food. Granted I've never stepped in the place to sit down and have a good meal. I always go through the drive thru. Whenever I review someplace, I need to go there a few times just to check the actual quality and consistency. Let me tell you, this place doesn't miss.

I love their wet burritos! Especially with birria meat! Burritos are one of my favorite dishes to eat, so I can be pretty picky about them. This one is definitely in my top ten! Juicy, full of flavor, pull-apart meat, lots of sauce that doesn't overwhelm the dish, I can't get enough!

The mixed fajitas plate is also delicious! It's not my favorite that I've ever tried, but it doesn't disappoint in flavor.

My biggest con for this place are the portion sizes. As someone who orders to-go, the portion for the burrito is good. Not the best but it does leave you satisfied. The mixed fajitas leave more to be desired. Small portions, especially when you're paying restaurant prices for the meal.

It's a hole in the wall restaurant so of course the ambiance isn't the best, but that's not what you're going for. I highly recommend this place for their flavorful burritos! Just make sure you're willing to drop some...
