McDonald's — Restaurant in El Monte

This place has rude staff, not only rude, but dishonest. My husband & I have given this place so many chances, but really this place just cannot get it right. They don't even sell anything correctly on their own menu. For instance we ordered a smoothie with no yogurt & we we're told that they cannot make a smoothie with no yogurt. Which is a lie. One can even order a smoothie with no yogurt from any other McDonalds & all McDonalds that have a kiosk inside or if one has the app, one can order a smoothie with no yogurt, so ALL McDonalds are supposed to be able to make a smoothie with no yogurt. That is ALL McDonalds except this one!!! Because at this McDonalds only has half wits working here. We came here a lot & one time that I came here, I caught one of the female workers watching another female customer using the restroom!!! I spoke up for the customer, and I told the manager, but the manager could care less, as the managers are all on the same brain wave as the rest of staff, so of course nothing was done about it. I am disabled & the staff of this place gives me more problems, as they are very aware of my disability. I have complained & complained to headquarters about this place, to no avail. They just want to offer something free to eat & not fix the problems. I don't want their free food bribes. The last problem that we had, we went through the drive thru & there was a girl, named Jennifer-heavy set. (She evidently enjoys McDonalds fattening foods & would not leave anything out of her meals, but instead eat ALL of her meals & anything else she could.) She was the one who told me that they did not serve smoothies without yogurt. I told her that was not true & then she started yelling at me & she told me that she was the manager & for me not to come back anymore. So I drove off & then I called to speak to the manager & I was accused, by the manager, of cussing & spitting at them, which is a lie. I did not say one cuss word at all. I did not spit at all & as far as spitting, I was not even thinking about spitting. So, since the manager & staff want to bring up spitting, that is probably actually what this McDonalds staff has been doing to our food for a long long time now! That really makes me sick, but if they did this to me, they will surely do it to someone else. So if you don't mind their spit being in your food, then go ahead & eat here, but you also have to know that you will be in the company of some really sick & dishonest individuals. If you prefer better than treatment like this, I advise you NOT to eat at this gross twisted staffed place. Thanks for reading I would not even give one star, but I had to in order to leave this review. Not returning ever again, to this place when there is a better place less than a block away, they can keep their spit food-gross just...

To Whom Is In Charge,

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the meal I received during my recent visit. I ordered a McChicken combo (including a drink, sandwich, and fries), but what I got was far from acceptable.

To start, my McChicken sandwich was missing the lettuce, mayonnaise, and tomato that should have been included. That was disappointing enough, but the real issue was that the chicken was undercookedcompletely unacceptable for any fast food item, let alone one as basic as a McChicken.

Additionally, despite ordering a combo, I had to ask repeatedly for ketchup, which felt unnecessary and frustrating. When I called to speak with a manager about my experience, her response seemed dismissive, as if I were bothering her. She even suggested that my concerns were because I ordered the 5 version, but I paid closer to 12 for my meal, which I dont believe should impact the quality or service.

I am shocked that my order was packed without proper attention to detail. Its clear that no one checked the items before they were bagged. This kind of oversight is not what I expect when paying for a meal, and frankly, it has left me questioning whether Ill return to this location.

I hope you take this feedback seriously and work to improve both the quality of the food and the level of customer service at this restaurant.

Unprofessional and Disrespectful Behavior from the Store Manager

I had an awful experience at this McDonald’s location as a delivery driver. As part of my job with Uber Eats/DoorDash/Grubhub, I pick up food from restaurants to deliver to customers. Like all drivers, I have to confirm the order on the app before I can proceed with the delivery. However, the store manager at this location was incredibly rude and treated me like a thief for simply doing my job.

Instead of politely asking me to confirm the order, she grabbed my phone and checked the confirmed it herself without my permission. This behavior is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. We, as delivery drivers, are here to make a living, not to steal food. Every second counts for us—we aim to deliver quickly to keep customers happy, earn tips, and move on to the next trip. Be respect each other who is also working hard for the living.

Treating delivery drivers like criminals is not only disrespectful but also reflects poorly on the management of this location. If this is how they treat hardworking people, I can’t imagine how they treat their own staff or customers. I would not recommend this McDonald’s to anyone until they address their management issues and start showing basic respect to those who help their business thrive.
