In the heart of El Paso, where sun kisses stone, Lives a café called 787—a charm all its own. Not just a place where good coffee is poured, But a haven where kindness and critters are stored. We walked through the gate, with a breeze on our skin, Past the rustle of feathers, and the softest of din. A tiny petting zoo danced into view— With bunnies, a ram, and a pony there too. Chickens clucked tales in the soft desert light, Each one a character, each feather a flight. But one stood alone, under shade and some stress, Bullied by peers in a feathery mess. Then came Justin—a hero, no cape, Just a heart full of care and a chicken to save. He scooped up the outcast, set her apart, Cradled her gently, with big Texan heart. Inside we found warmth—not just from the sun, But from woodgrain and laughter and soft music spun. String lights above, conversations below, An ambiance brewed to a comforting glow. We shared a chai latte, spiced sweet and divine, And banana bread soft with a cinnamon line. But the crown of the day, with a savory grin, Was a chicken empanada—golden, crisp skin.
Love filled the air in that magical space, In the faces, the flavors, the animal grace. 787 Coffee—a rare kind of art, Where espresso meets soul, and the kindest of hearts. So here’s to the ponies, the bunnies, the chai, To the chicken now safe and the desert blue sky. To the laughs and the lattes, the banana bread too— And the moment we found a small...
Read more787 coffee is a great Puerto Rican (PR) coffee shop that uses PR beans. We went in to order some coffee and it is a full process. They go into detail about the beans, the infused coffee beans, the coffees, the shop and more. If you’re looking for a fast coffee, this place probably isn’t for you as they’re pretty thorough in asking questions and telling you about the cafe. We ordered the Coquito coffee and the Dulce de Leche coffee and both were really good. The café itself is nice and clean with a good layout. It even has a workstation area that includes a printer. I’ve never seen this before so this is a huge thumbs up. They have plenty of indoor seating with different sections and games to play. We ordered the Quesito and it was really good and subtly sweet but crispy. We also had the empanada and it was tasty. They make them both in house, which we really appreciate it. The coffees are small and pricey for their size, but they tastes good. Overall, this place gets my recommendation, although it took way too long for our order as we had to wait on our coffee. There wasn’t even a line. If they can speed up the process, it would be a...
