My boyfriend and I went yesterday, and once we walked in no one had helped seat us down. It was our first time going so we didnât know if someone seated us or we were welcomed to seat our selves. The whole time there was a group of the waitresses talking and taking pictures. We had to go up to the bar and ask directly. We finally sat ourselves, and our waitress gave us absolutely no menus or did not tell us what they served, and she asked US what we wanted. I asked if they had menus and she said no, no drink or food menus. Then again she asked us what we wanted, how did she expect us to know when we donât have menus and sheâs not telling us what they served? We went back and forth until finally I mentioned I saw that they served pretzels and charcuterie boards. She said yes and we ordered both. When we got the charcuterie board, you can tell it was bought from a store! All they did was peel off the plastic because you can see where the plastic seal marks. We googled it and it was from target, we kept in mind that it was about $15, for them to charge us a few dollars more. She couldnât at least maybe switched the food to another plate so it looked it a little more professional. I will say the pretzels were good. The waitress never came to check up on us. She only came once obviously to bring the check. So we go home and saw on google that the place actually had menus. Why couldnât she give us any menus? Overall, we had thought the place was so unorganized and really a waste of time; besides the bartenders all the waitresses were not attentive, our waitress refusing to give us menus, store bought items, no check ups from the waitress. It was not worth going, and I know for sure weâre...
Read moreA bar that has stood the test of time, almost 40 years to be exact (1985). With its relaxed and fun atmosphere itâs easy to see why. This place is spacious, with lots of seating areas. The great thing about it is that depending on what type of mood youâre in, you can either sit down near the bar where most people gather to mingle or find a more intimate area near the far end patio or near the koi ponds and waterfall.
The bar has various arcade games and pinball machines scattered throughout the bar, a pool table, dart machine, and various other table games. The music offered can be from a live band, a DJ, or your own personal selection using their TouchTunes jukebox.
They offer a selection of domestic and imported beers and cocktails. They do have specials. As far as the food goes, I havenât tried it but I hear itâs good. The service was great, very friendly and welcoming. The manager was walking around and greeted us with a smile on his face.
The bathrooms were clean, the womenâs in particular is very spacious inside which is appreciated on those nights when itâs packed and thereâs a line of people waiting to use the bathroom.
This is one of my favorite bars in El Paso, the music is good, the people friendly, the atmosphere relaxed and casual.Everything I would expect from your local neighborhood bar with the added bonus of having a koi pond filled with koi fish for...
Read moreI was so excited to visit as a long time visitor of the previous bar. I invited friends for an after work drink party. I hyped it up that itâs an old bar with new management. But I was disappointed and embarrassed at the same time. Every time we ordered a shot, the server forgot. She delivered a drink the first time around time for my husband wrongly, and he drank it politely and the second time he tried correcting it politely And instead of apologizing, made it feel like he ordered the wrong drink in the first place, whatever. The entire night we felt neglected and unattended. We loved the presence of the bar before And felt like we could have been served better by literally any other bar we went to. Weâve had better attention at any hole in the walls and âAmbarâ at the plaza than we did tonight. All sides of the spectrum of bar attendance, tonight was at the bottom. And sadly we wanted to have a great time tonight. We hyped it up to our friend And we ended up apologizing. I hope to post a better...
