Bahama Buck's - El Paso (Redd Road) — Restaurant in El Paso

I have visited this location a few times. While the staff is not the least bit friendly or fast, the shaved ice was delicious. However, the most recent time I visited this location was an awful experience. Upon walking in the place smelled like a hot yoga class just finished. It was stuffy, hot and smelled like body odor. There was a couple families sitting at the tables and a couple in line in front of us. The three employees were just walking around the front area but I'm not exactly sure what they were doing. A woman approached the counter and asked if her order ready, I'm not sure what she was told but one of the female employees was obviously very irritated as she kept making ugly faces when the woman wasn't looking at her. We waited in line for about ten minutes, no one came to the register. The couple in front of us finally asked if someone was working the register. The male employee rolled his eyes and walked to the register and took their order. He then walked away and left the rest of us standing in line. The woman in line behind us asked the employees if they had anyone else to help at the register and the employees ignored her. We walked out after that. Poor customer service. I stood at the front of register for 5 minutes when both girls had clearly seen me. Was not even greeted. One was filling a container which looked like yogurt, the other was making orders as she was actually using the shaker. The other one finished what she was doing and only looked in my direction when two other customers walked in minutes after I had. Once she came up to me to take my order, she said "what can I get for you" no smile no welcoming hi. I ordered 4 mini snow cones and the customer that ordered after me received his two shakes before I received my order. We use to like coming here to eat our snow cones and play the board games they had, but apparently are no longer available for customers. If it wasn't because it's super hot and the snow cones are refreshing in this weather, I probably wouldn't come back. Shame on you Bahama Bucks. It’s 1 pm on a hot Sunday and you have one employee handling a large crowd all by herself. This young lady is clearly competent, but you are compromising business while your customers are having to wait long, and some are walking away, while your employee takes orders and is also fulfilling the orders. And as fantastic a job she is doing, this is an inhumane environment for your employee. What if she needs to use the restroom? And I am sure you also have other expectations from your employee aside from attending to customers. You have just lost a few customers as we are not coming back again. I invite you to reevaluate how you care for your employes. I promise you I will share this experience on social platforms and in conversations .
