We've been buying flauta family packs from Casa de Torta at least once a month for years now. The food is great but this review is based on the lack of professionalism from the owner. My 70yr old father picked up an order on Sunday, April 18th. Once home (only 5min away from restaurant) he realized one sour cream sauce and one guacamole sauce container had spilled all over one of the bags. They weren't closed properly and therefore my father called the store and spoke with an employee to let them know. I drove over there to get the replacements. Once there, the owner asked me to see the bag! He said this has never happened before and that i should've brought the evidence to show him. He went on to say that I was probably driving fast and speeding! Are you serious?! First of all, it was my father who picked up the order. He doesn't speed at all, if he should ever get a ticket it would be for driving too slow! Second of all, we weren't asking for new flautas. We simply wanted new sauces period. Third of all, i was supposed to put spilled sauces in my car and take them back as proof? Why would i dirty my car with that mess? I would understand if I wanted the actual flautas replaced then, of course i would've returned them but we're talking condiments here. Lastly, the owner has never heard of this happening before. Well, guess what, it's NEVER happened to my family either! It doesn't mean it never happens just because you don't HEAR about it. In the end, they replaced both sauces but we're extremely disappointed in the way the owner...
Read moreSad experience. When we ordered it was great. when we get our food, we start eating, then my mom notices there’s avocado in her sandwich(she’s allergic). I go up to tell them and ask for napkins in a respectful manner, then I get told “well it’s on the menu, so next time just look” and gave me my napkins. While I went back to my table I look at the menu and the sandwich “cubano” said “pork, green chili, cheese” nothing about avocado. One of the other cashiers saw me looking, turned to the original cashier and laughed. Laughed about my mom getting an allergic reaction?! Sad. One thing I realized, not making assumptions, but in the line my mother mentioned her allergy to avocados, what a coincidence. Such bad service from two young ladies, makes me sick to my core that they laughed at the fact that my mom...
Read moreCustomer service was not the best. The guy who took my order was giving me some bad vibes. When I asked if I could have half enchiladas beef, the other half chicken, the guy asked the cooked and he screamed "NO!" Where everyone could hear it. I said I wanted to dine in, but when the food came out, it was all packaged up like I was there to make a delivery. While waiting, a worker was eavesdropping on my wife's and I conversation and inserted herself into the talk. Food was decent, not the best. Fries were too salty and the enchiladas had a weird taste. Best thing was the wings. It was a lot of food, but the place is extremely expensive. Ended up spending $65 when I thought it would be just under $45. It was an interesting experience, but I don't think my wife and I will be...
