As I walked in there was no one at the reception desk, thinking the rest of my party had been seated I took a quick peek to see if my party was there, they were not. I made my way back to the front to find the manager now at the front. I explained myself as I noticed his unpleasant expression as I made my way back to the entry way. I explained why I had gone inside and he seemed to just brush me off. I then asked for a table for my party and stepped outside. A member my party (my mother), unaware that I had already put us on the waiting list, asked for a table. I noticed and let the manager know she was with me. He proceeds to call the next people and walks them to their table. I noticed my mother, follow him to that table. I called her but she didn't hear me and I follow her to bring her back, then the rest of our party followed. My mother thought he was asking her to follow him to our table. When he realized our party of 5 had followed he became noticeably irritated. I explained it was a misunderstanding. He was rude in trying to explain that was not our table. We understood this, btw. I'm not exactly sure why after we were seated our waitress, Aracely, thought it was ok to ignore us. My party sat there with no menus and no greeting whatsoever. I had to ask for our menus, coffee, creamers. With each request came attitude from her part. I have never been to any restaurant and been intentionally ignored and disrespected. Maybe the fact that I pulled out my phone was ready to write a review for their lack of service made her turnaround and apologize, and him suddenly care if we needed coffee. We will never be back and rest assured that this place will never be recommended to anyone. Poor management, even worse service! On a good note, food was quick and good. Props...
Read moreThere was no greeting walking in, just asked for how many people. It was 2 adults and 2 small children. We were handed all adult menus. So I had to look on my phone for the menu so my kids could pick something. We were helped by server Vanessa. When we came over again she changed the language and started speaking all in Spanish when our conversation started in English. Mind you I’m bilingual but my kids and husband are not. So I kept speaking English so everyone could understand and she kept speaking Spanish till she kept hearing me go back and forth with my family. When asking for our order, i asked if she could make my daughters eggs over easy which she replied to NO because it wasn’t on her system. I looked at her confused as we’ve been to Dennys several times and we’ve never gotten a NO to that preference. After 3 people ordering she proceeded to say “is that it?” Again I looked at her mad and confused and pointed at my husband, he ordered and she just walked off. I had to ask again for my daughters eggs preference which again she said no, so I asked if I could speak to her cook to ask him, she sighed and loudly banged on his counter to ask him which he quickly said yes with no problem. We got our food and not ONCE did she come back to check up on us, no refills, nothing.
There was another waiter, older gentlemen, who cleared our plates and even said hi to our kids, made a couple of jokes. That cheered our night.
Vanessa, if you are having a bad day, don’t take it out on your customers. Or maybe serving isn’t for you. Horrible service! Definitely going to another...
Read moreI haven’t been go this Denny’s in years, as I am used to going to the one in Horizon. The minute I walk to my table I noticed how dirty the floors are with lots of crumbs. I sit down and I could smell the restroom, that part of the restaurant just smell liked it. We as customers should not be able smell that stench in the air. I also over heard the manager on duty, Angel, say: It looks like a tornado hit, he was referring to the back area where they serve drinks and what not. I had to agree with him. If that’s the case, why doesn’t anyone clean the floors? My waiter Steven seemed to be doing everything. He was a good server! So here is my problem. The female manager with glasses who was on duty Friday (2/21) afternoon at 2:30 pm was at the counter all over her boyfriend, who was a waiter. If you all want to kiss, don’t be unprofessional and do that in front of customers, wait til you get off of work or go to the back and do that. Managers, servers, or cooks should not be having relations while working. I hope the District Leader, Mark, is made aware of the unprofessionalism. I am sure you all can check the cameras. I did like the cheese sticks, Moons Over My Hammy, but the fries were bland...
