After numerous recommendations for great flautas in town, I decided to go try out "Flautas y Paleteria Tepalca" off Zaragoza and North Loop. Took my parents and we all ordered Flautas. All of our plates ended up like my last picture. They were good, clean, crispy, crunchy flautas with plenty of toppings. The toppings include crema, cotija cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and lime. They come with packets of salt so you can add as much salt as you prefer. The flautas also come with a side of red salsa and green salsa. I also asked for some vinegar on the side because I like flautas with vinegar. To drink I had an Agua Fresca of coconut and pecan. They have plenty of other sweet, savory, salty options on their menu. Ice cream, paletas, many snacks, burgers, tacos, and the list continues. The customer service was great. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Overall I give the place a 9/10. I'm looking forward to going back and trying other things...
Read moreI used to love this place until today it was ruined for me and i will never be returning. I feel bad for having to leave a negative review but this is UNACCEPTABLE. The most upsetting thing from today's experience is that the women's restroom had no soap and I saw 2 of the employees go in and come back out right to work in the kitchen without washing their hands. Apart from that the tacos de barbacoa that I ordered for my son were so bad, the meat was dry and not fresh I asked the guy serving us if it was fresh and he said straight out no, it's not made daily. Why the hell would I want to pay for leftovers, disgusting!! He did offer to make new ones with different meat which I accepted but I was so grossed out by the whole bathroom situation that there was no way that I was going to put any food in my mouth that came from these employee's hands. Unfortunately we had already sipped on our agua fresca prior to witnessing the non washing...
Read moreFood has always been good, but service and how employees treat customers has a lot to do with customers returning, during business hours we were having dinner and my wife and I need to go the restroom, we were met by an employee at the restrooms and mentioned to us the restroom was close for the night because he had just cleaned them, and would not allow us to use them, we told him we had just had dinner and we needed to use the services and he still continued to tell us no! We persisted and he finally let us in, we knew the manager was there because we saw her there when we paid, she was counting the money from the register at the time, we asked for her after the situation with the restroom and we’re told she was not available, don’t know where they get the idea not to let customers use the services at a restaurant but the didn’t sit well with us, especially when the manager avoids...
