First time at this establishment (West side location) and it was NOT a good experience at all. We get seated and we are told our waiter will be with us shortly. About 10 minutes go buy a girl brings us water and just says “hi” no other greeting, nothing, pours our water and leaves. Another 10 minutes go by, the manager comes to our table and takes our order and lets us know that our food will take about 30 minutes to cook because of how we wanted our meat cooked (which is no problem). The bread, our drinks, and appetizers come out we FINALLY meet our waiter and again we just get a “hi” nothing more he doesn’t come back to check on as all. The ONLY person who actually interacted with us was the person who brought out our food and cut it for us. We asked for the bill shortly after and the receipt paper was just handed to us, it wasn’t put in their normal receipt holder. I don’t know if I’ll go back but, I do want to give thanks to the guy wearing the training shirt on, I asked for steak sauce and he brought them to us.

This is still consistently the best steakhouse in El Paso. Good value, large portions. Most importantly the steaks are prepared so well and of high quality meat. Ordered a 16 oz ribeye Medium done. The issue with ordering such a large portion is that you won't get the same consistency of done-ness throughout the steak. Such was not the case with my steak. It maintained a pink hue from the outside all the way through the center. My one gripe (but I won't rate them down) is with the beans and the bread. The beans themselves just tasted exactly how beans would taste when you've left them sitting out in a pot for a long while. The bread I overheard they had run out of rolls so I got this stale piece of bread. Rather not be served any bread BUT first world problems especially with COVID. Other than that, can't recommend this steakhouse enough.

Just wow. We tried a couple restaurants in El Paso and they were all bland. We almost wanted to give up and decided to try this place out. The cook on my blackened trout as well as the seasoning was spot on. My husband also agreed his steak was probably one of the best he's had. Even the pineapple slaw was good although at first I was skeptical. We finished with the brownie sundae( the texture was more like a cake but still good). The nice thing is they will donate the entire purchase price of the brownie sundae (or float) to their employees in need. The staff was awesome too can't say enough about this place.

As soon as you walk looks old and dirty. No effort to make the place inviting in no shape or form. Ripped chairs and old looking. Booths r very uncomfortable to sit in. Our waitress Cristina was the worse. She asked if we wanted to order after 2 mins of giving us the menu. She came back to check on table behind us and next to us, three times I said we're ready to order no reply. Finally I get her attention to put order in. I asked if u get bread with all meals she said yes. My husband ordered the Sirloin steak medium and I ordered the ribeye medium well. It took more than 10 mins to get our Salad and no bread yet. I had to ask if we can bread. These two men came in 15 mins after we did and the got their Salad and bread when we did, their waitress was attentive kept checking on her customers ours was not. My husband's Sirloin steak came out burned hard and dry and it was ordered medium. Cristain took our order why would she serve the steak to my husband like that. My husband couldn't eat it and he's the kind would just pay and not eat it. I gave him half of my ribeye that was well done not medium well. I called Cristina over asked her if the Sirloin steak can be replaced with a medium and not burned. She said sure but never sorry about that being she brought to our table and served my husband a burned steak when it was suppose to be medium zero lack of concern! No matter how many times we said thank you for something she never replied you're welcome. She brought the new steak over asked my husband to cut into to make sure it's okay. First cut it was the rest was rare smh!!!! At this point we just wanna leave. Waiting for our bread and salad and having to share my ribeye that was suppose to be medium well came out well done and my husband doesn't like ribeye but I didn't want eat alone and have my husband watch and returning my husband burned steak to only get a rare steak. As we were waiting for our bill I looked over where the servers get food from kitchen and put onto a cart to bring to the tables, Cristina grabbed the lettuce and tomatoes from the to go box put right onto her bare hands and than put it back unto buger than scratched her nose closed container. Those carts are handled by everyone in the restaurant without being wiped down. You can see all the grease and how dirty the handles are on the carts and she had the nerve to handle someone's veggies directly onto her hands than put onto burger while she fittling with other boxes and food on the cart. How repulsing! Several hrs after coming home I was on the toilet all night and vomiting. Till today my belly doesn't feel well im unable to eat. We should of just walked out as soon as we walked in cause the restaurant spoke volume first impression is last impression! Do not dine here. Prices like a up scale steak and food and service and dirty like...

My visit to Great American Steakburger was a somewhat mixed experience. While I had heard positive things about the restaurant, the food didn't quite live up to my expectations.

I opted for the classic choice of a cheeseburger, hoping for a burst of flavor, but I found it to be somewhat underwhelming. The burger lacked the robust taste I had anticipated, leaving me slightly disappointed. The fries, too, failed to impress, as they didn't quite meet the standards I had hoped for. However, I should mention that they were still decent, and I'm willing to cut them some slack, as they were, in fact, good fries.

On a more positive note, the staff at Great American Steakburger stood out for their exceptional service. They were notably friendly and highly attentive, which greatly contributed to the overall experience. Friendly and helpful staff can often make up for any shortcomings in the food department, and in this case, they certainly did.

In summary, my visit to Great American Steakburger left me with a sense of mixed feelings. While the food didn't quite match the high expectations I had, the friendly and helpful staff added a positive touch to the experience. It's possible that the restaurant has the potential to improve in the culinary department, and I would be open to giving it another try in the future, especially considering the...

Disappointed. Ordered take out, got to the restaurant and was informed they were out of rice, which my wife really wanted. Paid $63 for my order, got home to discover the dessert my kids were looking forward to was left out of the order even though the receipt showed it was paid for. Called up the restaurant, was given to a manager. Manager offered to pay for a new pie if I wanted to come get it (no deal, 20 min drive and food already beginning to get cold) or refund the cost of the pie over the phone. Had to give my credit card over the phone, and was told i would be called back once transaction was done. Hour later, still no call and to top it off, i took one bite of my brisket sandwich, and it was probably the worst brisket I had ever had in my life. My wife thought it looked like baloney. I will give them credit though, they were thorough: they managed to disappoint every single member of my family tonight and that's really hard to do. I never write reviews, but I couldn't hold my tongue on this one. i know everyone is under stress right now and take out is the only option for eating restaurant food, but come on, it makes it that more important to...
