Ok here’s the bottom line - the food at this Sonic is very good. I just had the Coney chili cheese dog and it was the best I’ve ever eaten. I’ve had corn dogs and such and all have been good. The bad news is just don’t go there if you don’t have a LOT of time. It seems like Sonic wants to get away from the old school drive in with car hops, which has been their trademark forever. With 20 stalls, they have only five where you can order, like Sonic of the good ole days. That’s what I prefer. So I drive into an ordering stall, push the red button, and wait. And wait. And wait. I’ve been to a lot of Sonics in my day and I know how fast it usually takes, which is not long. Not so at this Sonic. I waited 10 minutes once, just to see how long it would take. They never answered. Today I waited a while, maybe five minutes, then pulled out and pulled into another ordering stall, and pushed the button, and the waited, and waited. Finally I went to the drive thru and waited a while (longer than normal) to order. Finally placed my order and got my food. As I said the food is great, but the wait. Not worth it. I’ll go to the Whataburger next door, unless I really need a corndog, which they don’t have. Said they “aren’t selling bags of ice at the moment” this was at 8:00 PM (not busy, not close to closing, etc). Called later and asked when they would be selling ice, the nice guy on the phone said “oh we have ice available right now” so obviously the manager who served me at the window lied. I told him that I tried to get a bag of ice a few mins earlier and was told no. He said “oh…. let me ask my manager” and came back and told me to come back the next day that they are not selling bags of ice right now. They didn’t run out of ice clearly bc there was ice in my drink… the manager just was to lazy to put ice in a bag
EDIT: I went and tried to order a diet coke and 4 cheddar peppers. I waited 40 minutes. I finally went to the walk up stall and pressed the button. waited for them to pick up. the lady answered so rudely and said “go through the drive through” I said “please i’ve been waiting 40 minutes in the mobile order stall” and she said “well i’m busy”.
