I came to watch a movie after a long day. The process of ordering my ticket online was easy and convenient. When I got there, the previews had already started and there was no menu so I had to use my phone and the QR code. Luckily, I already knew what I wanted to try so I didn’t have to go through the process of scanning the code and all that.
I ordered water, the balboa cheesesteak and the margherita pizza. The fries that came with the sandwich were really awesome and crispy! The sandwich and pizza were good too but nothing I would dream about or absolutely have to go back for.
The issue that caused the loss of stars was with my water. I wrote it down on my paper when ordering food but it never came. I had to push the service button again during the film to ask again after receiving my food. A new guy came and said ok but never came back, despite all my neighbors around me getting refills on their drinks. As I was waiting for him, I started eating my food and was getting super thirsty to the point that I wasn’t even able to enjoy the movie. I had to push the service button again to ask a third time and this time another new guy came and I practically begged the guy not to forget about me. He took a while to come back but he finally did!! The water glasses are much smaller than the soft drink glasses and I finished it quickly. I wanted a refill but figured it was better to just wait considering the fiasco it was getting the first cup and since the movie was almost over at that point.
I ended up taking most of my food home and had a subpar experience because of this.
At the end of the movie. They still added the 18% gratuity to my bill. I have no problem paying this if it was actually earned but I don’t feel it was at all considering what happened. The initial receipt does have the option to remove the 18% gratuity but even if I checked it off, the waiter brought the second check without even checking or asking so I’m not quite sure how that process works. In the end, I paid the 18% because I wanted to leave and didn’t feel like waiting around even longer after the movie but service could have most definitely been a million times better and I left...
Read moreFamily night to check out Wonka tonight. The staff was super friendly the minute I walked in. The girl that took our order was very friendly and gave input in making a decision on menu items. Unfortunately there were continued service issues after ordering that put a damper on my experience. I’m hoping this was just a bad night, which happens. My mother ordered loaded fries, no utensils were provided and the server ran odd after bringing our food. I was missing the dressing that came on my burger that I requested on the side. So I wrote up a not asking for a fork, extra napkins, the side of dressing for my burger and a soda refill. 10 minutes later the side of dressing showed up and again the server ran before I could ask for the remaining items. I was patient and unfortunately nothing came after a solid 7-10 minutes. I pressed the button, and on my note canceled the fork order as my mother had finished her fries, asked for the soda refill and napkins and this time also asked for a coffee refill. The server came back with napkins and another order of loaded fries. I let him know all we wanted was a fork and had cancelled that. He took them and took off and I assumed my soda refill and coffee would be right behind. Unfortunately it did not make it so I buzzed again and on the paper noted this was now my third request for a soda refill and the second for the coffee. The male server was nice and said it would be out as soon as the kitchen put it out. I understand the service industry and hella patient and understanding. Three request for a soda refill should have not take as long as it did. I was charged 50 cents for the dressing that was missing the first time and I was disappointed that the almost 20% gratuity was already added. I’m hoping the automatic gratuity was not a reflection on our poor service experience. I still would have given them 20% and written this note. I have experienced movies with full drink and food service many of times, this one I’m again hoping was...
Read moreWe took our family to flix to watch a movie. We brought our 3 small children to watch guardian of the galaxy. We ordered lunch as the lights went down. On the menu of the kids meal pictured icees with each picture. As the kids ordered, I asked them what flavor icee they wanted because I assumed they were included. No where on the children's section did it mention that the icees were not included or that they were an additional cost. At the end of the movie, when we went to pay, the 3 icees were added to the bill...we were perplexed as to why and then were told that the icees are not included with the kids meals and that they are an additional 6.50$ each. My husband flat out refused to pay the" additional cost" because of the misrepresentation on their menu...the manager was called. The manager was a very young man and did not see our side of the argument, he didn't care that his menu represented the icees as included with the meal ,nor did he care that there was no text stating that they weren't included. He just wanted his money. He kept saying that we had consumed the drinks and therefore we owed what was due and had not a care for the misrepresentation that had lead us to the issue. He would not take the 6.50 off for each icee. I declined to tip for our experience and therefore flix's employees were slighted, at no fault of their own. It isnt their fault that the company they work for misrepresented its offerings, but in the end they paid ... I paid the bill but I told him that he better fix the depictions of his child meals on the website as well as include in text that the icee are not included. Needless to say, we won't ever be going back. I am not a Karen, and I have never been treated as such. The manager is young, and just wanted his money regardless of the issues, maybe he is powerless over what he can do and answers to some evil overlord, but whatever the situation truly is, in the end he lost business over ice, a cup and some...
