Sabertooth Food Co. — Restaurant in El Paso

Tonight's visit to the restaurant left me quite disappointed due to the service I received.

I ordered a burger that was listed on the menu as including Beyond Meat. However, when I received it, the patty was noticeably overcooked and tough.

When I politely brought this up to the server, there seemed to be some confusion. He insisted that the burger now came with falafel instead of Beyond Meat and appeared irritated when I mentioned the discrepancy. This was unexpected since the menu still listed Beyond Meat, and it would have been helpful to know about the change when ordering.

Additionally, the server mentioned that the burnt appearance was how falafel is typically prepared. However, as a vegetarian, I'm familiar with falafel and it should not be charred to that extent.

After requesting an alternative dish, I encountered further irritations and felt dismissed, which ultimately led to a very uncomfortable dining experience and I left the restaurant in tears.

While the kitchen staff was understanding and apologized for the confusion, the interaction with the server overshadowed my visit. I used to frequent this restaurant when I lived in El Paso, but after tonight, I'm unsure if I'll return. This was not the level of service I had come to expect during...

We came here after a graduation ceremony with a group of about ten people, but the experience was disappointing. The restaurant wasn’t very busy, but the service was lacking. Our server only took our orders and brought the food without checking in to see if we needed anything else. We asked for napkins and salt and pepper, but they never brought them. The food wasn’t much better, and to make it worse, the meals came out at different times — some people were already done eating while others were just getting their food. The pulled pork tacos were bland and had no real flavor. The birria tacos were also disappointing — the consomé tasted more like a tomato sauce than a rich, flavorful broth, and the meat was just as bland. The only thing I could really taste was the oil and cheese from the tortilla. The bar nachos were topped with the same pulled pork, and they were just as bland. The beans were the only thing that stood out, but not in a good way. I’ve been to this place before and liked it, but this time, everything just felt flat...

Update: Went back at a different time of day on Taco Thursday. All of the Instagram posts state $2 tacos and the server informed us it was also $2 tacos, no disclaimers or stipulations are posted on their posts nor was anything stated by the server. Went to order and we were told we couldn't actually order individual flavors of tacos for $2, but had to order tacos in packs of 3 or 5 all the same kind. This seems like false advertisement on their part as it isn't actually $2 tacos but a DISCOUNT on their taco packs ie 3 for $8 becomes 3 for $6 and 5 for $12 becomes 5 for $10. This needs to be stated by their servers and their posts as it feels like false information. Maybe offer a pack with multiple taco flavors? We were also disappointed in the quality of our tacos this time around. The meat tasted like plastic. Server wasn't as friendly as the previous visit. Burgers were decent and fries are always good though.
