When I got my food, there was a hair on my burger. When getting my food remade, I was told I would not have to pay for the new burger. I expected to still have to pay for the entire meal in full. I was surprised at the end, to find that my own meal was removed from the price completely. When I did get my burger, the tots were forgotten, but it was fixed quickly as somw were already made. Aside from needing to request refills, and the waitress forgetting to say "excuse me" when reaching in front of my brother to clean up, the flies, and a moth in the bathroom... It was pretty good. The meals are 9 dollars each. It is a little high but everything is running $7+ anymore.
The waitress did thank my husband when he helped her clean up the table a bit. I think if she can manage a "thank you" an "excuse me" should be just as easy.
I think all waited dine in tables need a call button like many other restaurants already have like Kudo's and Sonic have. While I know higher ups want employees to remain busy, it is pretty annoying when you are continually asked for your order when you are new to the establishment or have only been a few times or simply just love changing what you order everytime you visit.
It is just an idea.
I suggest, find the source of loose hair and correct it.
Try to eliminate flies and moths.
These first two before food contaminates causes a health inspector to visit...
Work on customer service, we were closely checked on there times for our orders, but we were forgotten and had to ask for refills in the end.
Work a bit on curtsey and politeness.
All in all, great food if you want something different from every other restaurant.
Not into sports, but some of thier decorative signs are funny/interesting.
We didn't know if we needed to wait to be sat, or needed to wait for the check to pay out. Brother was concerned if they took...

I've frequented this restaurant many times throughout its founding in our beloved town of Elgin, and it never drew pause in its entirety of providing exceptional service to every customer that has made the choice to patronize this sports themed restaurant.
The food is life sized, delicious and made fresh from order to plate in a timely manner, with strict attention to detail, quality and presentation.

From the humbled initiatives of this restaurant a few trade ideals stood true: you are always greeted by one of the hosts/ wait staff with warmth, friendliness and a smile, cleanliness is a top priority in and outside of the restaurant as well as in the restrooms, you're pleasure with the food rendered is either confirmed or redone to make it right, the service is executed with the intent to make you feel good about your choice to enter their restaurant, and being satisfied with the food is surely inevitable given the consistency of the chefs preparing their edible works.
The choice is always in the hands of the customer, and by the marketed success of Boompa's I'd say that the the desires of the customers has surely proven to have been meticulously met.
God bless each of these blessings received throughout our community, and may God continue to bless the success of our beloved Boompa's...
Respectfully, Will...
Read moreI ate at Boompa on march 4th; after my wife going on and on all day when she got home about how good it was from work. The food was delicious, the service on the other hand. We drove an hour from where we live, just to have Drew not help us at all. Didn't tell us his name or anything, took our order about 15 minutes after we arrived. Messed up on our sons order. Could of been the cooks, but I doubt it because I can't have ice, it hurts my teeth too bad and ended up with ice in my drink after asking for no ice. we had to get it from another waitress. I didn't catch the waitresses name that ended up getting our refills or asking if we needed anything; she was wearing a shirt that said darling. Ended up getting charged for our sons drink even though we ordered his food off the kids menu. I still tipped the waitress that helped because she was amazing. But it just felt like drew hated life, never smiled once. Just walked around like he was miserable the whole time, while the other waitress pretty much went to all his tables...
