Taqueria Chapala — Restaurant in Elgin

Food is decent sometimes. Chicken has been on point at times, other times it's burnt🤢. I will give them zero stars on their customer service twice I have ordered an hour before to make sure my order is ready when I get off work. Both times my order was not ready and I still had to wait. The first time it happened was the worst. I went to pick up, and paid only to find out I paid for someone else's order and they gave me the wrong food. Luckily I caught it before leaving and they credited my account and gave the other nancy her food. Then they told me they couldn't find my order so they had me wait until they looked for it. Once the manager did find the order instead of rushing my order he put it at back of line even though I had ordered by then and hour and 15 minutes ago by phone. I didn't want to be mean so I kept waiting. After about another 20 minutes asking if my order was done and being completely ignored, I walked out. Never been treated so disrespectfully. Can't believe I actuay ordered again and again a different day and again they didn't have my order ready. I walked out that time as well. If you come here don't go on Tuesdays. They are especially rude since they are so busy they could care less if they have your money or not. Better off ordering at comales on...

Second time going to Chápala during our visit to our daughter in Ft. Walton. The first time was a much better experience and that’s why we went a second time. Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. The server, Chelo, was not attentive or helpful. The food took almost an hour to arrive to our table and we got it because we had to ask another server to check on it since Chelo was nowhere around. She immediately brought our order. Obviously, it had been prepared much earlier because it was cold. The fish I ordered was dry, the salad had no flavor, no dressing, not even on the side, the rice was mediocre and the churros were not fresh. I must say that the beans were okay. My family has the same complaint about their food. Chelo came to our table when he saw the other server apologizing, which was expected of him but he didn’t offer a single apology. We will not go to Chapala ever again and do not recommend it. There are plenty of other Mexican restaurants they are much better in...

Today I had a really bad experience. I called to order my tacos well done when I picked up my order they said that they going to charge regular price because the meat was well done. First not one told me about that when I ordered. Secondly the way that the waitress approach me was totally wrong, I felt super bad then I told her why not one said nothing, she just said again because the meat was well done. it is ok if they want to charge me more but they need to let people know for they agree or disagree with the purchase. Finally I asked for limes and she said I need to charge for that too. when you order for here you put some in the table but for to go you charged? I asked My last thing is I never go back again I was her client since they open here in Elgin not just for taco Tuesday but not anymore. NEVER...
