My husband and I stopped here today and ordered lunch. We had been here before, doing take-out, which was excellent. But today we decided to eat in.
We had an appetizer each, Golden Spring Roll and Goyoza. So good, food was hot and crispy, with a slice of orange on each plate, a nice refreshing touch. Then for entrees we each ordered the Pad Thai (with pork) and (veggies), the entree was beautifuuly presented, food piled high, all the food was again hot and crispy. Drinks were hot jasmine tea with a little white teapot at the table, and some unsweetened ice tea. Dessert was excellent, artfully served: Sticky Rice with Mango. The mango was so fresh. Excellent lunch and our waitstaff is a co-owner with his wife. He was very friendly, easy to talk to and and gladly answered our questions about how spicy we wanted our food. His wife works behind the scene in the kitchen, using old family recipes. Check this place out! They are open for lunch and dinner. I HIGHLY recommend this cute restaurant, which has a lovely atmosphere and is very clean. You will love their food!! One of our best finds in the area. So glad we...
Read moreFinally, a place that serves tofu that's good. I tried the tofu triangles appetizer & tofu cashew dish. Very good. The sauce for the triangles caused me to crave more after we got home. I recommend this tasty item. My husband tried the dumplings appetizer & the Tom yum soup with chicken. He really enjoyed both items, and he's not into Thai food. He took me for an early Valentines dinner since I have to work that night & because I wanted tofu. It's hard to find a place that serves tofu dishes. All items were fresh and tasty. Great choice! Very clean place. Great service! Always kept our drinks filled (BIG deal for my requirements of service). Even the manager checked on each table. Big kudos to the crew. We will become a regular local customer, but why do you assume we'll be paying with a card instead of cash? A "credit card fee" is automatically added to the bill before it was brought to us. First time that has happened to us at a restaurant. Next time, we'll pay with cash & save that fee of almost $2. I truly appreciate y'all coming...
Read moreWhile in town visiting with friends and family, we stopped in for lunch after receiving a recommendation.
This was an excellent recommendation! It's amazing to me to see the variety of food in Elizabeth City now. When I lived in the area that was not the case.
The parking lot is a bit small but there's room to likely paint some more lines so hopefully that's future planning.
My serving of chicken pad Thai was so large that I took leftovers with me to my hotel for dinner. The crab lagoons (not a typo!) were very good. They tasted like the crisp wonton crackers with cream cheese inside.
I also ordered a Thai iced tea that was really well made. Others at the table tried the beef drunken noodles, the ginger, perfect chicken, and the sesame chicken. Everything was well enjoyed including a side of spring rolls.
Will definitely come back the next time I'm in the area. Our service was also spot on.
One funny note is that the mirror in the women's restroom is really high up LOL if you were under 5 ft tall you will not...
