Tiki Mojito — Restaurant in Elizabeth

The service here has always been warm, professional and very accomodating. Their food is superb, authentic, fresh and very good! So good that I wanted to meet the chef, Armando, who was humbly talented and modest. Have been there twice and so far, I have enjoyed everything I have ordered and/or tasted thus far and will rate what I've eaten/tasted with the best number out of 10 in my opinion so you can gage how good I thought the items were from one Foodie to another, lol 😋🤭: the Fried Plaintain Cups with Shredded Beef (10 periodT), Fried Calamari (7, I've had better, no tentacles which I LOVE, only the rings but crispy), Chilean Sea Bass with Sea Scallops (9 loved it/Seared, moist and served in a tomato based red sauce which is hard to find served with that sauce which I LOVE but wayyy too many julienned bell peppers for me), Oxtails in Sauce with White Rice & Fried Plaintains (9 loved them, served in a reddish-brown sauce with a mild kick, large oxtails with a lil fat but I LOVE the fat/hella flava, but the Plaintains were fried & smashed/no problem for me but they weren't the sweet/ripe ones like the soft banana-like ripe ones that I would eat; plus, I'm not a big plaintains fan from the jump and lastly, their Tres Leches for dessert (10 perfectly sweet, not overly sweet, moistly chilled cake, served with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream & whipped cream and the entire plate topped with a pass of raspberry jelly). My Sister loved their Passion Fruit Creme Brulee! I tasted my Cousin's Fried Whole Red Snapper before, which was fried too hard for me but she loved it! Tiki Mojito in Elizabeth is a fantastic restaurant that offers a vibrant and enjoyable dining experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the lively atmosphere, enhanced by a great selection of music that set the perfect tone for a memorable Halloween lunch. The spacious layout made it easy to relax and enjoy my meal without feeling crowded, even on a busy day. The restaurant’s festive decor added to the Halloween spirit, making it an ideal spot for a special occasion.

The lunch special was a chicken Caesar salad, and it was absolutely delicious. The salad was fresh, with crisp romaine lettuce, perfectly seasoned grilled chicken, and just the right amount of Caesar dressing. It was a refreshing and satisfying choice that left me feeling pleasantly full without being too heavy. Tiki Mojito’s lunch specials are a great value, and I would highly recommend trying the chicken Caesar salad if you’re looking for a light but tasty meal.

The service at Tiki Mojito was also top-notch. My servers, Andreina , was attentive and friendly, making sure I had everything I needed throughout my meal. She was knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations, which added to the overall positive experience. It’s clear that the staff here cares about providing excellent customer service, and Andreina went above and beyond to make sure I had a great time.

Overall, Tiki Mojito is a wonderful place to visit, whether you’re looking for a casual lunch or a fun night out. The combination of great food, excellent service, lively music, and a spacious, welcoming environment makes it a standout choice in Elizabeth. Me and my husband went there this summer and we sat outside at the parking lot we had a pleasant time, then we came back this winter inside, we were served by a short waiter Enrique at the dining room, our experience was much worse than in the summer, our waiter was very unprofessional, we wanted to have a time and enjoy the dining experience with time and looking through the menu, he rushed us through it and he didn’t gave us time to go through the menu, when the dish came out he have gotten the order wrong, we tried to get his attention to us so he could change my dish because he has gotten the order wrong he was on his phone sat by a couch close to the restrooms, he didn’t came back to the table to check on us, neither payed attention on what we wanted after it, one of the girls from downstairs went up to make some coffee I think, he got up immediately and was like touching her in front of us, then went downstairs with her again grabbing and touching her and did not gave us any attention, at this point me and my husband we were so uncomfortable, we just wanted to get out of there, so we didn’t mind the wrong order neither anything else, we just asked for the bill to take off of the restaurant. We are never coming back to tiki mojito again ever, we go out a lot and this was the for sure the worst experience we have ever had, if you’re going to tiki mojito keep in mind Enrique acts disrespectful with women, don’t give you more attention to you than to his phone and don’t respect your dining timing, owner should reconsider some of their employees and pay attention to...
