The service was absolutely awful. It is very rare for me to leave a bad review, as we typically side with the servers who are more often than not over paid and under worked. However, there is no excuse for a poor attitude, and simply ignoring a five top. We sat there for legitimately 20 minutes, without even a glance our way. When I finally walked up to one of the servers to ask, if one of them was taken care of our section, I was told very brusquely. I’ll be there in a minute. And she went back to her casual conversation with her friend. Then she started heading our way and bypassed us to take care of the table that has been there for 10 minutes less than us. When she finally made her way to our table and asked us what we wanted to drink, we said that we would go ahead and place our whole order and her reply was oh sorry the kitchen closed 10 minutes ago. We had already been there for 25 minutes. Regardless, if she had greeted us immediately and let us know that the kitchen was closing in 30 minutes, we would not have ordered. We are not those people that are going to place an order right as the kitchen is closing we know that they have things to do. But to simply ignore us, and then give us attitude was unacceptable. We will not be back. The food could be exceptional and the location is certainly convenient, but so much of what you pay for service and that simply wasn’t there at this...
Read moreWe've eaten at the Town Club for over 30 years. We miss the old Town club. It had great food, great prices, great atmosphere, etc. That's all gone now.
It's continually gone downhill since Covid. Service is slow, food is marginal, prices are high for what you get. They used to have the best burgers around. Not the case anymore. We ordered cheeseburgers cooked medium. They were "well done", not medium. The cheese was the size of a postage stamp. I asked for a tomato. It was 1.5" in diameter if that. I ordered a basket of onion rings for $10.00. There were 9 (small to medium) onion rings in the basket. Are you kidding me.
The only thing I saw as an improvement, was the sound deadening they added to the ceiling.
I think I ate my last meal at the Towne Club. Not sure what the problems are, but if they're not addressed, they won't be in business much longer. I know everyones business has labor issues since Americans apparently don't want to work anymore. Pretty sad state of affairs; that's for sure.
I wish the Towne Club the best of luck, but I won't be back until I see some positive changes. There are other establishments for dinner, and based on the reviews, I'm not the only one that feels this way.
Good luck. Hope you get it...
Read moreThe food was great and the drinks wonderful. What wasn’t so great was our waitress Jennifer . She started out very nice but declined as the meal ended. We asked her at the beginning that we needed our check in 2,2,1 for the 5 of us. She kept shaking her head and seemed annoyed when it came to us and I said we will be on one ticket. We ate and asked for the checks and when they came Out two of three were wrong. I tried to get her attention and she got annoyed with that. No excuses here either. I know businesses are having a hard time hiring help but it was not busy. She had 5 tables. 2 eating, one waiting for food and our table and another checking out. If she was flustered not our fault. She was downright rude. We had asked for boxes before the rudeness started and she literally threw them on the table. I have never had anyone be so purposely rude. Now we all usually tip 20-25% this girl was given 10% from all of us. I’ve had bad waitstaff before but have never tipped them less than 15%, this young lady needs a wake up call. If u can’t handle the public get another job. And no we were not...
