After moving to Elko, I was recommended to check out McAdoo’s, and I finally gave it a try. Overall, it was a mixed experience.

The French toast left something to be desired—it felt a bit under-battered and lacked the richness I was hoping for. That said, the maple syrup absolutely redeemed it. It was flavorful and perfectly complemented what the French toast aimed to be.

The real star of the meal, though, was the chorizo burrito. It was spot-on: savory, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I’d definitely come back just for that!

One thing to note is the noise level—it was quite loud during my visit, making it a bit difficult to fully enjoy the atmosphere.

All in all, McAdoo’s has potential. While some elements could use improvement, others—like that burrito—make it worth giving...

First time to dine here: 6/8/24. Arrived for brunch; busy, crammed (tables very close to each other) and loud environment. Had two servers. First server took and delivered the orders professionally and accurately. Second server had to be asked for 2nd cup of coffee refill. Flatware service and napkins were missing from the table, had to ask second server for flatware and napkins after food was served. Also, had to ask for water. During the meal, none of the servers followed up to ask how was the food or if we needed anything else but brought the bill. I was paying for our lunch and placed my credit card + bill on the edge of the table. No server came to collect payment, ended up taking it to the cash register for payment. Food was mediocre. Hopefully, the next visit...

The overall experience of this place was vice nice. The staff was very helpful and attentive. Always kept on top of water and food.

The food was Devine. You know a place is good when it is packed. All of the food was flavorful and worth the experience. We god the croissant breakfast sandwhich a one with potatoes and the other with pancakes. (We have to have the whole experience) potatoes were amazing. The pancakes were light with a crunch. Really good. We also go the monthly special of Crepes. Highly recommend. We had a chili Mimosa and Ice Vanilla Chia. Both really amazing drinks.

The ambiance was good. It was a nice establishment right in the Heart of Downtown Elko.

Overall, a wonderful place in Elko. I would highly recommend to anyone seeking wanting a nice...

Small bistro. Some of the tables are too close together. We were greeted promptly and cordially. Not a huge menu. Breakfast potatoes come only one way - drenched in garlic bits with slabs of parm layed over the top. I asked for my potatoes to be crispy and without the parm since I was having mozzarella quiche, but they were the same as my husband's. The quiche was overcooked; the flavor was totally saved by the pesto. My husband ordered the butter croissant (redundant?) with scrambled egg, bacon and avocado, and was surprised to receive it in the form of a sandwich. I slso had a cranberry mimosa but could only taste champagne. Overall we thought the food was a 6/10. We don't live in the area but if we did we probably would not go back here again.

I had a breakfast bagel sandwich with roasted potatoes. It was excellent as we're the potatoes. The wife had the orzo and roasted vegetables salad and loved it. We had a hard time deciding what to eat as there were many very appealing options on both the breakfast and lunch menus. Got a good feeling about the place when I walked in the door. The place was clean and inviting. Server was very friendly and helpful. Prices were about right for fresh, made to order food. Not your run of the mill cafe - a little more up-scale. If I lived in Elko, I would be going there often.
