I ordered the new steak and egg sandwich on a bagel (I've had this before) delish BTW . This morning I decided to order it as a meal with a drink and hash brown. I had a great morning so far and got a raise today because I work hard and give excellent customer service at my job, no matter what I'm going through or show if I'm irritated, NEVER. Anyway, the drink wasn't correct, and had realized the person taking the order got it wrong, I let her know it wasn't correct and I was met with an attitude and a GROWL. As she told me to pull up to the last window and had to wait as the person behind me had their order delivered to them first and was able to go. Finally the same woman gives me my correct drink as I can see she still had the same irritated attitude and hands me my drink without a word. I really don't know how this woman expects people to want to return and buy again. It's a small town and there's another McDonald's to go to, which considering I had waited so long my sandwich wasn't even hot and fresh anymore, it was DISAPPOINTING. The experience that woman gave me was stressful and considering I just came off a 10 hour shift to be treated that way was so unnecessary and awful. Whoever that lady was that served me at the drive through window around 658am this morning, needs some customer service training. It's a business and I'm one of many that helps pay her wage, without the customers there would be NO JOB. Something for her to consider before she has an attitude and growls at customers. Read moreWhat can I say, this particular McD's was a lifesaver. I unexpectedly got stranded in Elko (more than 300 mi from home due to a diesel turbo self-destructing). It was late Saturday afternoon and no immediate options to get home. I asked the diesel repairman that looked at the truck to drop me off at McD's because I knew I could get something to eat, use the restroom, and have a chance to sit down and figure out how to get home.
The young man who was the manager on duty was very sweet and accommodating - he allowed me to stay and use the store as homebase until the store closed (which fortunately corresponded to when a friend was able to drive 4.5 hours one way to pick me up). I can't say enough for how thankful I am that I was able to use this particular McD's as a safe harbor - I don't know what I would have done or where I would have gone if the manager hadn't allowed me to sit in a corner and wait for my ride for as long as l did. He was a knight in shining armour and I will always remember his kindness and sing his praises.
Because I was in the store for so long I was able to watch and listen to the manager do his job. He did an amazing job keeping things and employees moving and motivated - he spoke to the employees respectfully while at the same time trying to get orders out with freshly prepared food in a timely manner. I ordered multiple items and all were fresh, yummy, and hit the spot.

Before mcdonalds responds with the generic, "we'll look into it and improve our quality experience," you should read the rest of this. I gave it 3 stars, and I feel like I was being generous. I would have given it 2, but there was one employee, a young guy, who really seemed like he wanted to do a good job. You could see in his eyes and posture the struggle he must be going through on a daily basis working with the rest of his crew. Everyone else there just came to collect a check, and it shows in not only the quality of food but the service I was given. Back when I was a manager at McDonald's, I would have fired everyone except that one guy. Avoid this McDonald's at night. The day shift does so much better. I'll just go to the other side of town if I want food from a McDonald's again at night. There's no reason to give a half thought up response to this because by now if the quality hasn't improved after so many bad reviews about the food standards, you should probably try to do something new to raise up that "quality...
