I have went to this restaurant many times. I am noticing a serious decline in upkeep and quality of service. From the moment I started walking in to the restaurant there were issues with the facility's. From burned out flood lights to the main sign affixed to the building humming loudly from a transformer problem in the sign. Even when i sat down there were problems. Both my chair, and my sons were loose and about to break. Possibly causing a injury. I as a overweight man. I was even cold in the room. Which seemed to be at 57 degrees only heated by body heat of patrons. When my wife went to the bathroom the water pressure was so high the sink splashed her, and my daughter getting their shirts wet. The male bathroom was not the cleanest I have seen either. Then we move to the service side. Although not extremely busy. Being seated almost immediately. My waitress seemed un-attentive throughout the meal. lack of drink refills, removing empty dishes, not offering more salad. We purchased never ending sauce for bread sticks. Only 4 bread sticks were provided initially. They were only refilled 3 times after waiting long lengths of time. I also had to ask for more sauce. The salad was offered with cheese dusting. However when the main course came. There was no offer. My entire table waited 10 mins for her to return. While we refrained from eating, and another 5 for her to get the cheese. At that point I went and contacted the manager at the front. I explained to him about the bathroom and the chairs, and briefly of the service. He apologized and walked into the bathroom. I never saw him again. The only saving grace was the food was good. I payed full price for my meal and was not satisfied. I doubt I will return to this establishment anytime soon. I also doubt many people have the time to send a complaint of the ongoing...
Read moreMy friend and I visited the Elkton location for lunch on 9/24. We arrived at about 1:45. Our servers name was Heather. She took our drink order and then got it wrong. We ordered the appetizer and soup salad & breadsticks. These items came right out, and we then placed our entree order. Also the breadsticks were hard. So I asked her if we could get fresh ones. She took them and brought out some more, but they were just as hard. By this time we had been there for over an hour and still hadn't gotten our entrees. I asked a different server to get the man at the hostess stand because I thought he was the manager. When he came to the table, he was abrupt and rude. I was trying to explain the situation and he started to walk away. I called to him that I was not finished. I told him about the breadsticks and he snatched them from the table. At this point another man came to the table and stood there. He said "you want a manager?" So I told him what happened and he thought it was funny what the host did. We told him that we wanted our entrees to go and I needed a piece of tiramisu to go as well. He brought our food out and then the server showed up to ask if everything was okay? I couldn't believe she had the nerve.
Neither person apologized at all. Not even a fake "I'm sorry". I hope she learns.
Now, I stopped at the host stand and told the rude host that when someone complains to you, you should apologize, for the company. He decided to yell that he wasn't going to apologize because he didn't do anything wrong. He then threw up his hands and said "I'm walking away I won't return to...
Read moreThis is a typical example of the Olive Garden chain. It's clean, neat, and well arranged. Our server, Ashley, was friendly and efficient. There's plenty of free parking nearby.
The food is fresh and tasty. Normally, I would give a place like this five stars because I'm a generally nice guy, and meeting my expectations is all I want in a restaurant.
Unfortunately, Olive Garden, as a chain, doesn't meet my expectations because of their attitude toward eggplant parmesan. I realize that it's impertinent of me to presume to suggest that I can tell an entire chain of restaurants how to run their business. Well, so be it.
I had the lunch sized portion of the eggplant parmesan. There was not much eggplant or parmesan cheese. There was very little marinara sauce. That's too bad because the marinara sauce was delicious. There was plenty of pasta. I didn't eat much pasta because I needed to move the marinara sauce from the pasta to the eggplant.
So my suggestion for an eggplant parmesan policy is that there should be more eggplant, way more marinara sauce, and less pasta.

Returned for lunch. It's been over a year since I wrote the review above. Clearly, the Olive Garden executive chef did not read my review. The lunch sized eggplant parm was not improved. I asked for extra marinara sauce. The server brought out a small amount of sauce.

Here for lunch with the same group who all prefer the Olive Garden. Lunch size portion of eggplant parm still too small. Not enough cheese or marinara sauce. Tasted good. Service was friendly and efficient.
This chain is still a gastronomic...
