We absolutely love this place and have been 3 times since they’ve opened a week ago LOL. It’s nice to finally have good food very close to us in North East. The presentation is amazing. They gave me a keychain on opening day, and gave my kids balloon like hats and went above to make the experience better. Hoping they get their liquor license very soon so we can start enjoying a drink with dinner. The vapor in between the tables is a little overwhelming when air flow picks up and it moves in front of your face. We went with a party of 4 and had gratuity added to the check without realizing, so wasn’t a huge fan of that. Also- the hibachi dinner was amazing with a huge portion of chicken, but someone in our party got the hibachi combo (2 meats) with scallops that were a $5 upcharge, and literally got 5 scallops and very little meat, so he was a bit disappointed. Those are the only downsides we have experienced so far but we hope the restaurant continues to do well and we will keep...
Read moreIf you live in Cecil County, or frequent our Chesapeake Bay quaint location, you know our restaurant options can be a little limited—but Tokyo Sushi is a game-changer. The place was banging busy tonight (on a Wednesday, no less), and for good reason.
We were here on opening week and came back tonight, and I have to say: the atmosphere is warm and inviting, the restaurant is spotless, and the service is absolutely top-notch. The food? Downright amazing. While many places are shrinking portions and raising prices, Tokyo Sushi serves generous portions that are beautifully presented, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Even the takeout is outstanding.
The sushi is fresh—the salmon melts in your mouth—and even the rice is seasoned with care and flavor. Honestly, I’ll probably be coming here exclusively for Chinese food locally, and the sushi is some of the best I’ve had in the area.
A huge win for Cecil County dining....
Read morethis place is great! Service was a little slow and hectic, but to be expected sincethey were pretty busy (on a Monday night!). They have done a great job renovating the space - not a huge fan of the mist coming from between the long line of booth seats, but they do have seating away from it. The food was really really good. We had green salad, miso soup, beef yakitori, chicken katsu, and sushi rolls - tuna, salmon, cucumber, and sweet potato. The green salad was fresh and crisp and the carrot ginger dressing was great. The miso was nice, a good amount of tofu and seaweed. The beef yakitori was cooked perfectly, no tough steak bits here! The chicken katsu was crisp and tasted kinda like a big Mcnugget. Their katsu sauce was perfect with it. Finally the sushi rolls - sweet potato was crunchy, wasabi was spicy,...
