I love this place. It came around when I was a little kid (having lived here for just about ever), and my husband and I go quite frequently, and after living in another town for 2 years I always complained that the Chinese places we would go to were nothing like Golden Wall. My Dad used to take himself and us three kids here every Wednesday, and it was good and cheap, which was right up his alley! When I want good Chinese in town I always go here. Granted, the atmosphere has never changed and it's a bit run down but they are all super nice and know how to cook damn good, FAST food. I love this place but lately the food hasn’t been so great. Not everything we order is nasty but the Egg rolls use to be the best and now they are always hard and greasy. I even asked her to make them fresh and she still cooked them the same way. Not sure what she’s doing differently but it needs to stop because nothing is cheap right now and when you buy something you expect to be able to eat it. Always will be my #1 spot around this town but this is now I think order #7 and they are nasty every time and I always leave a tip :( hoping our food comes out hot and fresh and edible. Unfortunately after being a very long time customer of this restaurant they have changed the type of dumplings that they serve. The dumplings used to be amazing filled with pork and scallion goodness now they are flavorless potsticker type 🥟 dumplings. I love dumplings and I order them every time. I have been forced to find a new Chinese restaurant with dumplings like Golden Wall used to have. I will return to the restaurant if they ever go back to the dumplings that they used to have.
If the new management reads this... you know what you have to do. Go back to the old supplier and serve the old style...
