Wow. I’ve been eating at Fiesta en Jalisco since I was a little kid, and it’s always been my favorite spot in town. But after my last visit, I’m honestly considering never coming back — all because of one server who has no business working in customer service.
This man (white, grey hair, about 5’9, late 50s) gave us the absolute worst service I’ve ever experienced in any restaurant. From the moment he came to our table, he acted like we were beneath him. He ignored us while we politely gave our order, knocked my girlfriend’s drink all over her without apologizing acting like he didn’t notice, deliberately brought the wrong tortillas after I asked for corn, and forgot our appetizer until after our entrées had already been served. Everything he did felt careless at best, and intentional at worst.
Meanwhile, he went out of his way to laugh, smile, and joke with every other table around us — loudly enough that it felt like he wanted us to notice. Then he’d come back to us with a stone face, acting cold and dismissive. It was blatantly disrespectful.
To make matters worse, this isn’t even the first time we’ve had a bad encounter with him. Months ago, outside of the restaurant, he nearly ran us over with his car, then got out and threatened me instead of apologizing. So when he treated us horribly during this visit, it was clear he remembered us and held a personal grudge.
And to top it all off, as we were leaving the restaurant he actually came outside, gave us an exaggerated sarcastic wave, and loudly wished us a “great rest of your day” while pretending to hope we enjoyed our meal. It was obvious he was mocking us, as if everything he had already done wasn’t enough and he needed one last chance to taunt us. At that point, I honestly left wondering if my food had been tampered with.
I’ve never once had a problem at Fiesta en Jalisco until now, but this man’s behavior was beyond unprofessional — it was hostile. He should not be serving customers, period. If management values their loyal customers, they need to let him go, because one employee like this can ruin the entire reputation of a...
Read moreWhile this restaurant showed promise in its ambiance, I found the food and service to be average, barely touching a three-star rating. The dishes lacked the bold flavors I typically associate with Mexican cuisine, there were just 3 vegetarian dishes including salads and chips mentioned in 30+ total dishes. It was very disappointing. while the items we ordered were decent, they didn't leave a lasting impression. Additionally, the service was adequate but nothing remarkable; there were some delays in receiving orders and the staff seemed a bit disorganized. We ordered from their today’s special written on the bulletin board. Yet the staff asked what is that item? Showing they care less about what they offer? Our bill didn’t match the food prices boldly written on their “today’s special” bulletin board either. The seafood gave food sickness after couple hours. Overall, while it wasn't a good experience, there's definitely room for improvement in both the food quality and...
Read moreServer Sean lacking basic customer service. We love this place and have been going here forever, but today was so weird and disappointing. When getting drinks he left half way through the order without saying anything and just left to go get them but then didn't finish taking the rest of the drink order upon returning (one person asked for 7Up and got lemonade). Reached across the table to set drinks/food down in the most awkward ways, wasn't even convenient and over our food. He did check in but was not consistently polite. When asked if cheese is in a dish he said "there's a lot of things in it... its on the menu". Also put a finger in the beans on one plate, didn't acknowledge this at all. The other server was heard talking loudly the whole time we were there even though for most of it we were the only ones. It was just weird and not at all what we usually experience at Fiesta en Jalisco. Not sure when we will be back if this is the...
