One thing I look for in a business is honest marketing. Chick days is not that. After 20 years of having family egg layers, they all died so we went to chick days and being told we were getting layers by employees, we picked up 10 new chicks. 8 weeks later we have gigantic full grown chickens that eat like crazy, are super friendly and want to sit on your lap and not forage. My 9 year old, 8 yr old nephew and 5 year old neice became really attached only to find out these birds are meat chickens and wont last long because of their enlarged bodies. The only way to salvage their short lived lives before they die of a heart attack was to find someone who would take them for food. Wanting eggs, and bug eaters, these chickens dont do either. Anything you need for your yard is there along with a variety of outdoor clothing that is reasonably priced. The atmosphere is relaxed and the people are friendly intelligent and very helpful.
