Worst experience of my life. I went with two of my friends one day looking for a day out. The waitress comes up to us asking if we were ready to order and we say "no", she then went ahead and asked "Will you all be paying together or separate?" As college students, paying separately is very common in this area, however my friends and I did not discuss is before hand, so I then went ahead and asked then what we were planning on doing. The waitress then gets very impatient and says "Do you not hear me??!" I then look at her, because it was never my intentions to ignore her, I simply thought it was clear that we were deciding on our answer to tell her momentarily. She did not let me speak and then said "DO YOU NOT HERE ME?!?" DO YOU NOT SPEAK ENGLISH??!!!!" She yelled at me enough for the whole restaurant to hear, hands in the air and everything causing a scene. Shocked we all did not know what to say, and she yells it out again. She then stormed off yelling at her coworkers in a different language.. clearly speaking about me. I was very offended by her comment, she thought that I did not even look like I spoke English, or must be slow at it simply because we did not have a right away answer, it was very discriminatory, I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate: I thought I would give it a try again. I asked what the special was this time! When I arrived to pick up my food, the owner Lisa refused to serve me because I left the review below. I told her I would like to try again and she told me to leave. So sad because I was a very loyal customer for over 10 years. Lisa, you can do better.
I called in a to go order for sweet-and-sour chicken. When I went to pick up my order, I noticed that the special was a combination meal with soup, fried rice, sweet-and-sour chicken, chicken, chow mein, and barbecue pork For the same price as the meal I had ordered.
I asked if I could make my order the special since it was a better deal and that I could wait. They only had to make a few other items to go in the bag. The owner told me it was already made, and they couldnāt do that. Good customer service would also reflect that you make an offering of the special if they are ordering something already in your special.
The service here used to be so good and Iām just so disappointed because this is not the only customer service problem...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe go to the Golden Dragon every time we travel to Ellensburg. Jordan (owner/cook) makes the best Mongolian Beef! Having worked there for two+ years when I was in college, I can attest to a few things: The kitchen is clean, the food is fresh, (they don't put bleach in it, Jimmy) and it is made from scratch. (In fact, watching Jordan cook, you wonder how he can get things to taste the same every time. A little scoop from here, a big scoop form there, stir, stir...)
The family starts, early in the morning, tenderizing meat in marinades, squeezing fruit for sweet & sour sauce, preparing egg flower soup (the best!) and getting the most popular foods (chow mein, fried rice, deep fried meats, egg rolls, ect.) ready for mass production. The other menu selections like Mongolian Beef, Mu Shu Pork and Thai Curry Chicken are made on the spot when you order.
I love their food. I've been trying for years to get them to move to my town. So far I have been unsuccessful so I have to settle for a trip to the Golden Dragon once or...
