Just a word of caution regarding Ye Seafood. We went there tonight and got the king crab with vermicelli. Waitress told us it's $60/pound + 30% service automatically added. They didn't ask us how many pound crab we wanted. Bill came out to be around $420 which was a shock to us. We were expecting perhaps a 3'ish lb crab and expecting the bill to be around $250 ($180 + $60 service fee + tax).
I thought they should have at least mentioned or asked how many pounds the king crab was. The fact that they didn't feels kind of deceptive to me. Even some Michelin star restaurants wouldn't cost this much.
EDIT: This is a response to the owner's response below: We were NEVER informed of how much the king crab weighed. We were only told it costs $60/pound plus a 30% service fee to break it up. If they had told me the crab was going to be 5 lbs ($60 x5) x 1.3 = $390 before tax, there was no way I would have ordered this.
Again, I find this very deceptive and manipulative. Customers need to be informed of exactly how much something costs before...
Read moreNice new restaurant in the area. We ordered the signature lamb chops and sautéed hot shredded beef. The beef was tasty, but honestly I wish there was a little more meat. The lamb chops were a little dry because they were cut too thin, but they tasted good. Service and atmosphere were unremarkable, but solid. Full pot of jasmine green tea at the table was great. Will try this place again soon.
Returned on 2/8/25 and updated the review from 4 to 5 stars. I ordered spicy lamb but asked for extra meat which was quoted to me at $5 more. I got a great meal of traditional size you expect at a Chinese restaurant. My dinner companion had avacado salad and lamb chops both of which...
Read moreReally wanted to like this place. I thought the flavor was good honestly, but as most reviews mention - the portion is very small for the price. Around 18-20+ dollars for entrees that would be much bigger with similar quality elsewhere. Just couldn’t get over the feeling that the portions and meat were intentionally skimped on. The salt and pepper pork was mostly bones with little meat on. If the portions were large I would have probably given a 5/5 overall. The owners would truly do themselves a big favor just by increasing their portions. Finally - I had to flag down wait staff for service/assistance. Just those couple of improvements and the place...
