Headframe Coffee — Restaurant in Ely

Passing through Ely on a road trip to California, searching for much needed supplies like coffee, I came across Head Frame Coffee. A small unassuming space off the main drag and well worth the visit.

The owner was just brewing a fresh pot of their special blend and offered it to me for free. Beyond delicious coffee, it reminded me of Western hospitality and why I love small businesses.

Amazing coffee. We thought we were going to a coffee shop, but it’s mostly a shop that sells coffee beans. That said, there were samples of two roasts, and both were outstanding. We essentially got a free cup of amazing coffee. We also bought a bag of beans. I’ve since mail ordered several more pounds- and all have been fantastic.
