I love local business and love supporting them but i must be honest. It was a very busy hoilday weekend. We tried the Canteen Creemie but it was way to busy. After a quick scan we called Emily's to see if we could visit. She told us yes but they just got thru a very busy rush but they would figure it out. We stopped in at 7:30pm. We didn't get serviced for about 10 mins. We ordered drinks i asked for a mad river glen bourbon but instead got served bullet. After about 20 more mins we had to ask for a menu, she told us they are pretty much sold out of everything she could make us a salad but thats it. Running out of options because almost everything was closed in the area, we agreed to the salad. Later after getting served the salad we noticed two people that came in after us that knew the owner got two fresh made burgers. I get taking care of family/friends but thats not taking care of the customer at all. I understand its a very busy day but you need to hold it together better, hiring more staff its part of running a growing business. A bar tender is a crucial part of your business so you can focus on your customers needs. There is alot more i can add but please for yourself hire more people to support...
Read moreThis establishment is an absolute staple of this local community and economy- Emily’s provides an incredible amount of joy around these parts.

They got called out in the moment and clearly didn’t like the fact that they were held accountable, regardless of whether or not it was intentional. It is quite sad how someone would not only try and take advantage of a small business owner, but furthermore make it a point to post a negative review....
Read moreFirst night we visited Emily’s. What a great show. An old time rock and roller Christopher Robin who played with many of the greats was on acoustic, then joined by his friend on drums, but the greatest part of the night was when Emily joined them on fiddle. How many times does the bartender or owner do that!! Most unbelievable part of this show is that they didn’t rehearse at all! Truly a night to remember. The bar is set up great and now with Ashley doing the food she’s got the bar/food/live music all covered nicely. It’s a great addition to the Mad River Valley for both locals and visitors especially since we lost some good restaurants recently. I hope it works out for her. Go on in and give her your business, you’ll...
