Evidently, this is a popular place. We were not impressed. It was mildly busy when we got there but seated right away. After a few minutes, still no wait staff had come by. There were a few walking around so I stopped one and asked if they could take our drink order. They said your waiter would be here shortly and walked away. It was a while longer before another showed up. I have no problem paying for good food at all. Even with a family of 6, a good meal is worth paying for. With that said, the meals are a lot pricier than say, Mariachi's in Greenville. Wife and I ordered cowboy fajitas for two, my son order enchiladas, daughter got quesadillas, and we didn't order anything for the 3yr old because she doesn't eat much at all. Long story short, the portions of the fajitas was maybe enough for one person and not that tasty. My son didn't finish his enchiladas b/c the sourcream sauce tasted bad, and the cheese in the quesadilla that my daughter got tasted horrible. And not a single refill on our drinks until I tracked the waiter down to get the check. That's $75 that I feel was totally wasted. Atmosphere was good though. Tables were layed out well, plenty of elbow room and it was very well lit. Parking was a little thin and we parked in the grass with some other vehicles. For the first time in a long time I must say that I do...
ย ย ย Read moreI have gone in Dos Charros twice. The first time was a few years ago and I was met with an unfriendly welcome. It took quite some time to get my to-go order placed, because no one would acknowledge me. Therefore, I was hesitant going in today, but it was only one of few options. Again, it was clear I was not welcome. The same older man that was there the first time, was there today. I assume he is the owner. I waited patiently for the opportunity to order as he took care of everyone else first. Finally, I placed my order. Moments later he came back with my order. I believe I thanked him and then said, โI have one more order.โ He rolled his eyes, sighed, and turned his head from me mumbling under his breath. I would think any business man would be excited to get more business, but I guess some business isnโt welcome. I felt horrible and instantly regretted I gave Dos Charros any of my business at all!! I do not recommend this place. This...
ย ย ย Read moreOmg! The salsa was Divine. I had the Cancun. Shrimp & crab Chili Reallano & as shrimp n crab enchilada. Both were heavenly. We ordered some queso to go with the chips. It was delicious, but it didn't hold a candle to the salsa. The salsa was fresh, sweet, and with nice sized chunks of tomato and just the right blend of seasonings and herbs. The chili sauce on the reallano was a superd blen so that it complemented the seafood and not overpower it. They had a tequila lime sauce for the enchilada that again complimented the seafood, not overpowering it. The decor only gets 4 stars because it is very bright with flourescent lighting. Would have preferred it to be just a bit dimmer with some soft light with more of a yellow hue. Will 1 million percent reccomend it and 1million percent chance of going to eat there...
