Golden Chick — Restaurant in Emory

I live in a small town, very few restaurants to choose from, and because of recently losing my leg from a car wreck. I must use door dash often. So with that added expense I expect my food to be decent. I have used this store off and on for several years. I have been so disappointed that I stopped ordering for months then decide to try again. Numerous calls to manager and nothing changes. Today the chicken was old once again. I don't mean has just sat in the window too long but I mean tainted before it was even cooked. One bite made it obvious. Plus the smell. I spent $20 and am sitting here hungry because the food is in the trash with the exception of the child size brownie they sold me for over $5. I'm done this time. Out of chances! Now what's funny to me is that in a next town over. my friend picks us up chicken at the golden chick in mineola tx that is PERFECT every time. order 9 wing combo..get to window to hear they have three wings. why didnt they tell me that when i ordered so that i could see the full menu to pick something else??? ten dollars for a two piece fish that was literally the smallest fish ive ever seen…no mashed potatoes i ordered..no gravy with tenders. No salad dressing on either salad…i ordered regular fish and got spicy after they asked me three times…40 dollars. Good food and customer service! And the staff has always been friendly, helpful and accommodating. I've used this restaurant many times to pick up family dinners when I'm in the area. However, regrettably I've decided it's time to review other restaurant menus. The cost of dining at this location has grown exponentially over the last year or more and is no longer considered cost friendly for my budget. The side of vegetables(containers) have also gotten much much smaller, making it difficult to have enough servings to complete the meal.
