Was in town for the race, was recommended this bar, just went there to sip on a beer and chat with some locals. The bartender (blonde, female) was not polite at first, and then quickly became rude, cold and actually full on sexiest.. I asked for a menu and she actually seemed off put by me wanting to look at the beer menu, then the guy next to me said a random fact and she immediately assumed he and told him he was probably lying and I watching this unfold and how serious she was and saw how much hate she had in her eyes then looked at the guy and asked him, "is she serious" he said "yep absolutely, she hates men" I said, "you hate men, why do you hate men, like all men? She said yep, they all lie and don't even know when they are lying. I said whoa, you can honestly be serious... I'm a male patron, trying to experience this town and get a beer and you are saying this to me right now... She basically was like yep, I hate men.. Paid for my untouched drink and left.
Absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable, I even told the other bartender hey bro, she's out of control in a people business.. craaaazy!!
Will never go back to this establishment, Urban cowboy was good though, great people great owners, I met them outside they were super welcoming and helpful, paid for my drink (which I didn't accept)...

There's several things that make this place special. First, no one who works there pressures anyone to drink and the workers are positive and helpful. I was there for a celebration and drink water all evening.
People rave about the variety of beer Mulready's has and their prices seem reasonable. The people there seem to have a good time without getting drunk.
It is not too dark. It is clean and it is comfortably arranged. It is not uncomfortably noisy so that conversations are natural. One of my colleagues enjoys being there just to read by himself. In addition, some people sit at the bar instead of at tables. On Saturday night, there were quite a few people there; however, not too many as there were some empty tables and chairs.
The patrons who were there seem to have come from diverse backgrounds and seem comfortable with each other. For example, there was a wide age range and blue-collar workers to college professors.
Mulready's is easy to find because it is on Commercial Street, which is the main north/south Street in heart of...
Read moreWas better before the pandemic, the first time I've been back since Covid the beers seem smaller and 2 simple drinks cost over $20. So your paying more to literally get less. They have hired some new bartenders since the pandemic and they are nice, but they can't make cocktails very well. The service is going downhill, the drinks are getting smaller, and the prices have been raised..I used to frequent this spot but probably wont anymore.
EDIT: one of the bartenders confirmed to me in person that the prices have been raised, any how the reaction from the owner to my review is exactly the kind of attitude you can expect from the owner if you have any concerns or question. (thanks for illustrating my point about...
