With all the hustle and bustle along the beach of Encinitas Coffee Coffee is tucked away on the corner of the 101. We were there to watch the School of Rock perform and stayed for most of the day.
The location is great and I was surprised how spacious it was inside. Coffee Coffee is not just a rinky dink little coffee shop. They have a nice variety of beverages (very happy about their iced tea selection and loved the peach tea but my favorite was the coconut tea). Coffee and hot cocoa was pretty good as well. Early in the morning their was a great variety of pastries (sweets and savories). They also have a nice selection of items in their menu. I ordered a fruit bowl, it was loaded with sweet strawberries, bananas, and cantaloupe. My son got the lox and bagels and really enjoyed it. The acai bowls were nice and looked really good. My mom got an apricot danish which she thought was tasty as well
We did run into an issue, our order was given to another table. It took a bit to remake our order but the staff was really nice and made sure we were taken care of. It was not necessary but they made it right. Great customer service.
There is plenty of seating inside as well as a great outdoor area to sit and relax or people watch. Great venue to hang out and listen to live music as well. All in all a great place to spend our Sunday. For sure stop by if you are heading...
Read moreLittle coffee shop in Leucadia. It has the now semi-famous "Welcome to Leucadia" mural on the south facing side of the coffee shop. It is also connected to a surf shop next door. Decent service, and decent coffee with a patio with ample seating.
Edit: after consistently coming here I have found their menu to be a bit underwhelming. For the prices you are paying you can find better elsewhere. I just got the acai bowl and found tomato seeds on some of the fruit (which was bland) and the acai part was watery in part and frozen solid in the rest. Very disappointed to spend $10 on a crappy bowl of subpar fruit carelessly thrown together.
The only thing this coffee shop has going for it is the patio. Time to do better...
Read moreMy wife and I enjoyed a coffee date at Coffee Coffee, located in Encinitas. This open-air coffee shop allows the patrons to experience the mild weather. If it's a bit chilly, then bring your hoody. The baristas provided quick service, with a smile. Inside the coffee shop were five people with their laptops. Coffee Coffee also has a pleasant patio, to enjoy the weather. Yes the sun felt good on my back, while sipping a bold cup of coffee. This is a little coffee shop where people like to work, reflect, and chat. Because the coffee shop is near the road, we heard traffic and train sounds. Coffee Coffee offers a genuine Encinitas experience, so...
