Interactive and very fun atmosphere at RB! I absolutely love the fact that this place honors Three's Company's local hangout, "The Regal Beagle!" It didn't hit me until I saw the Don Knotts t-shirt on display and suddenly John Ritter and the entire cast of a phenomenal era and show came to mind...What a great name for a phenomenal place to try several craft beers, meet locals, friendly bartenders and staff...and literally laugh out loud. They truly know how to keep it light. You will hear hilarious names like, "R2D2", "Ron Burgundy" or "Richard Dawson" announced via microphone; these are apparently assigned to customers when food is ordered. The character name given is then called out via mic when your food is ready...What an imaginative, spontaneous and upbeat idea-'love it! My grilled cheese was melty and amazing, got a seat easily even on a Friday night, and was greeted by two golden retrievers wearing smiles in the outside seating area upon entering. Don't know what to order to drink if you feel like a beer? Try a trip around the Wheel of Indecision. 'Brilliant idea~ and too fun to give away here... Go in, visit and ask to experience it; I did. Was guided by a hilarious bartender who delighted in showing me the ropes. A sense of humor saturates the vibe at the Regal Seagull. This hang out can't be beat (and I don't even drink beer often!?). The fun, laughter, people, sports action and hilarious vibe make it a high five, all...
Read moreCame here the day after Christmas for a beer so it was packed at the bar, but there were several seats outside on the patio and inside again the wall, which is where I sat. Service was quick and really friendly. You can tell that this place is mainly locals. It's also dog friendly. There was definitely a dog or two inside, so it appears that dog owners aren't limited to the patio.
Great craft beer selection, I got a Great Notion hazy and it was super cold. Nothing worse than a kinda cold beer, especially an IPA, lol.
I had just eaten nearby so I wasn't hungry, but after smelling the wings the person next to me ordered, I am dying to try them. They smelled sooo good and looked like they had some crisp to them (crisp is key when it comes to wings and you can't tell me otherwise). I'll be back another day with my pup to try some food.
No parking lot, but plenty of...
Read moreFinally made it here after knowing about it for years. Big sports bar, was raucous for the Europa League final. Pretty solid tap list with 24 options. Went for the Pliny as even in California you don’t see it on draft often. $9.50 for a full pint ain’t bad. Had the fish & chips special and some wings, which were absolutely stellar. Lots of sauces to choose from. Open kitchen across from the bar. Lots of seating inside and outside. Great vibes, classic feel for an older place in Encinitas that clearly has some history and plenty...
