Say hello to my (current) favorite pizzeria.
Whenever my workplace wanted to order a pizza lunch, I noticed the same name was always bandied about - Cassie's. And even as a takeaway order, it was consistently delicious. I've since made several visits to the actual location, and it's regularly a hit.
The bread that comes out at the start of a dine-in meal is such a gift. I love that it's served warm, and it's a hearty serving. It's a lucky thing that the food always comes out so quickly, or else I'd be filling up all my stomach space with it.
The pizzas are fantastic. Categorically, I'd place them close to a Neapolitan, which is actually not my favorite type of pie but it's done really, really well here. I don't know if it's the fresh mozzarella or the fresh crust (in fact, this is the only place where I'd happily finish all my crust pieces, they're so good), but everything tastes like quality. I especially love how they serve up their meatball toppings, which are thick hunks of well-seasoned meat and well worth the tuppence they cost.
The pizza's not the only star here. I'm not sure why, but there's something about the Caesar salad here that spanks my sweet taste buds. All of their salads come in two sizes - individual ($13) and family ($28). I find that to be pretty pricey for a salad, but when I ordered an individual salad to share with my husband during my last visit, it was a decently sized plate of salad for both of us.
The dining space is huge, with both tables and booths divided between two rooms. Service is both kind and efficient; I've never had any issues and I'm regularly surprised at how quickly the food comes out. Street parking in Englewood can range from difficult to a nightmare depending on the time of day and the day of the week, but there's a larger municipal garage...
Read moreCassie’s has always been a place close to my heart. I always go there for dinner with my family and they are my go-to for catering events. However, last week I hosted my first big event at the restaurant after my daughter’s baptism and I found them to be equally as amazing. We ordered the event package, which included appetizers, pizza, salads, pasta and an entree. It was all delicious! The food, the atmosphere, and the staff were exceptional. All of my guests said they enjoyed their time there and said they plan to return. I especially want to thank Douglas, our main server of the night, who went above and beyond to ensure we were completely satisfied and happy. He was kind, professional and quickly completed every request that was made. I also want to thank Joshua who helped arrange the event and was very understanding and accommodating to our large group’s diverse needs. The Cassie’s staff made our event memorable and we are so grateful for them. Cassie’s is a great place to share with family and friends and I highly recommend everyone...
Read moreCassie's is a very pleasant local Italian Rest. The food a good and a very large portion served for a reasonable price. We went to dinner here before attending a concert at the Bergen PAC. on a Saturday night. My husband and I are not doggie bag takers because we are from the eat everything on the plate club. ❗️ We ordered a full meal -Calamari, (to share) 2 chicken specials for dinner ,coffee and lemon sorbet (with 2 spoons) plus after 2 dinner drinks . The bill wasn't a killer we have paid much more for a lot less. The best part is we actually took home enough food to feed us both Sunday supper and there was spaghetti still left. When I told our friends we took home doggie bags they knowing us all wanted to go to this amazing place. Only problem for us it's hour plus drive from our home. Very disappointing to our friends. So if you are good eaters I highly recommend...
