Chula on Broadway Cocina Mexicana — Restaurant in Englewood

First time at this place (I’ve been wanting to come ever since I read about the accident earlier this year, and I’m glad they’re re-opened and somehow managed to keep all the original staff), and I was immediately welcomed with friendly faces and happy employees who seemed to know everyone else eating there. I would give the food I had 4.5 stars, not 5, but I didn’t want to have the 4 star rating bring it all down. I ate lunch here today, and it was a great experience. The chips and salsa were tasty- chips weren’t too salty, and the salsa had a nice afterburn. I never order alcohol, but I was craving a caiparinha and saw it on the menu. I ordered a strawberry caiparinha, and she worked hard muddling those strawberries and tried her best. Probably wouldn’t order it again, but she made it super strong, so I got it to go and had a nice buzz at home. I saw a few things I wanted to order, and I will absolutely be back to try the ones I didn’t get today. I ended up getting the Camarones rellenos, and it was a substantial amount of food. 8 large shrimp, stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon. I would have lost my freaking mind in ecstasy if the bacon was spiced or had some sort of glaze/topping, but without it, it was still quite tasty. Just a bit crispy and dry. The shrimp itself was perfectly cooked and tasted really good. There was a large portion of rice and refried beans as well, and a small salad of lettuce topped with pico de gallo and guac. If I hadn’t stuffed my gut with chips and salsa, I might have eaten it all at once, but I took the drink and about 5 shrimp home with me. I’m looking forward to eating them for dinner. I had a great experience with the warm atmosphere, the absolutely kind and attentive staff (I feel bad, I got devastating news over the phone and was a mess for a minute, but the waitress never made it weird, haha), and the satisfying food. Can't miss with the bogo margaritas. The Pinche Maria is also very good. Each of which goes very well with the chips and salsa served at every table. The salsa is very flavorful and also quite spicy, I really enjoyed it.

The birria tacos were delicious. Served with consomé, rice, beans, lettuce, pico, and guacamole. Definitely a must try if you're a fan of birria.

Service was welcoming and friendly, you can expect your server to always be checking in on their guests to ensure a satisfactory visit. The restaurant itself is quite small so you can expect a more intimate atmosphere. I wouldn't quite recommend this spot for groups larger than maybe four or six at most, although I'm sure they'd be happy to scoot a couple tables together to accommodate a group of six.

It was a very pleasant experience. I eat at restaurants alone very frequently. Needless to say that sometimes, especially as a solo diner, the service at some places can be hit or miss. That was not the case here. I am very pleased to report that I was not only treated with hospitality here but also enjoyed the dining very much.

We discovered this gem of a restaurant after one of our favorite Mexican restaurants closed their doors, and we are so very grateful that we tried 4Gs on Broadway! It's like "Cheers", you walk in and are warmly greeted by the staff and the owner herself. These people are so genuinely kind and will quickly have you feeling like family.

The service is the best, the food is amazing, and the margaritas are to die for... oh so heavenly! 4Gs on Broadway offers such a huge selection of entrées and adult beverages. We are frequently trying new items and so far each one keeps becoming our newest favorite! They have the most awesome Green Chili, Guacamole, and Dessert choices too! You just have to try TC's Dessert Nachos, WOW!

The margaritas are so very good and there are so many different varieties to choose from, all are amazing but I would have to highly recommend the Italian margarita... it's heaven on earth!!!

On Sundays this is also our favorite spot for breakfast. They offer another large variety of breakfast entrées, and oh their mimosas.... oh such wonderful mimosas.
